Pro-Life Display Vandalized at Northern Kentucky University

The newly formed Northern Right to Life group at Northern Kentucky University ran into strong opposition to their temporary display of crosses that were set-up to symbolize the short life and death of aborted children. A group of vandals destroyed their exhibit [from the Northerner, HT: Michelle Malkin]:

According to University Police reports, several young females removed about 400 white crosses from the grass in front of the University Center plaza at about 5:30 p.m. on April 12.

Note that the display was legal and protected:

The crosses, meant to represent a cemetery for aborted fetuses, had been temporarily erected last weekend by a student Right to Life group with permission from NKU officials.

Public universities cannot ban such displays because they are a type of symbolic speech that has been protected by the U.S. Supreme Court.

News articles report that it was the student's professor that led the attack:

Sally Jacobsen, a longtime professor in NKU's literature and language department, said the display was dismantled by about nine students in one of her graduate-level classes.
"I did, outside of class during the break, invite students to express their freedom-of-speech rights to destroy the display if they wished to," Jacobsen said.

Asked whether she participated in pulling up the crosses, the professor said, "I have no comment."

She said she was infuriated by the display, which she saw as intimidating and a "slap in the face" to women who might be making "the agonizing and very private decision to have an abortion."

One wonders why the indignant professor has no comment considering that she appears in the photo to the right, caught in the act of exercising her "freedmom-of-speech". This type of attack is what some abortion extremists resort to when the intellectual force of their arguments fail. The fallacy is called argumentum ad baculum (appeal to force). Hyscience readers will appreciate the correlation to Islamic extremists, who attempt to destroy those who disagree or refuse to join their cause.

And, Jacobsen has admitted the attack on the display was violent but justified:

"Any violence perpetrated against that silly display was minor compared to how I felt when I saw it. Some of my students felt the same way, just outraged," Jacobsen said.

Ironically, it looks like Jacobsen spoke at a conference in 2003 titled "Moral Education in a Diverse Society". Her session was Teaching Civic Responsibility in Women's Studies.

It looks like the only thing Jacobsen needs to do to complete her descent into complete Dhimmitude is claim her opponents are Nazi's and her actions are similar to standing up for holocaust victims. But wait, she does this too!

The Northerner reports that the Right to Life group is planning on pressing charges:

The group has decided to press charges against those responsible.

"We called the police and told them that we decided to press charges," said Julie Broering, treasurer for the group. The members reached their decision after a day-long deliberation.

This is not the first time crosses have been pulled down and destroyed. In fact, Michelle Malkin is developing quite a list of similar incidences and also notes the relevance of Ramesh Ponnuru's book The Party of Death: The Assault on the Sanctity of Life.

How ironic such “vehement” hatred for “the uses of life;” as Loren Eiseley in his “The Unexpected
Universe” so poignantly quotes Sir Francis Bacon’s “ethical dictum,” concerning what our modern attitudes and focus ought to be in the face of the ominous challenges he foresaw we would encounter in, this, the “New Atlantis” as indeed we have; from all these rabid “Pro-Abortion,” “Pro- Choice,” “Women Libbers”and those demagogues who represent them in Washington, in light of the challenges we are indeed facing!

Here we are with an aging, static, population. Social Security will soon be paying out to retirees more than what it takes in from new workers. The Pro-Illegal Immigration advocates, for self-serving reasons and “vested interests,” try to “rationalize” the unfettered demographic invasion of the US by Mexicans and other illegal aliens, that they wish to shove down our throats, on the grounds that there is an impending demand for their labor, and that “we do not have sufficient workers” to keep growing oureconomy....
and yet, if we had “raised” all those children that we have aborted in this nation since Roe Vs. Wade, and the Gloria Steinem, Helen Reddy “I am Woman” chanting, bra-burning (with tits drooping to the floor by the lack of support and lactation,
to be later corrected by all these “implants” and “cosmetic surgeries” so in “fad” indulged in today), hairy armpits, “testosteronized”
“emancipation of women,” perhaps we would have sufficient “young blood,” and workers, to supply the demands of our growing economy, keep supplying
the coffers of Social security with the necessary income to keep it solvent, and to make America flourish into the future!!!

What is even more ironic is the alarming levels of “barrenness” amongst the females of our population who find out, when they finally decide to “settle down” and have a child, after having sacrificed the prime of their lives for a score of years to dedicating themselves to “succeed” in, as they say, “a man’s world,” have had the
“choice” of several abortions because such pregnancies were “inconvenient,” and have relentlessly bombarded their organism with the copious amounts of hormones present in their
“contraception” birth control pills for years, that they can no longer conceive! Talk about wasted opportunities....it’s almost “Poetic Justice”!

It seems that in our hedonistic pursuit of self gratification, excessive individualism, and selfishness, at this point, and as a result of our consciously having curtailed that most basic component for the survival of a given population,
wether animal or human, of sustaining sufficient numbers to ensure the procreation and continuation
of said population, it seems we have sealed our own doom, are destined to decline, and will eventually disappear, only for other populations to take over the niches we leave behind....the Mexican hordes, and other aliens, coming relentlessly over our borders! Talk about the
“browning” of America. We will become a different culture altogether!

What irony that not only are we outsourcing our jobs abroad, but that it seems that because of Roe Vs. Wade, rabid Feminism, and our morbid insistence in accepting and making commonplace homosexualism and the mating of individuals of the same sex, whose physical unions obviously can not procreate, in our hedonistic self-satisfying society, we have even outsourced the procreation of Americans: .....“South of the Border”! Appalling!!!
