On Retired Generals And Small Minds
Topics: Political News and commentariesPointing to a piece at Slate that asks if six retired generals hating Rumsfeld is a big deal and offers up some numbers on the matter, Dr. Sanity helps to put the issue into the right perspective.
As Rumsfeld has said: "Out of thousands and thousands of admirals and generals, if every time two or three people disagreed we changed the secretary of defense of the United States, it would be like a merry-go-round." How many retired admirals and generals are there?
All things considered, I find it difficult to believe that the retired generals have spoken out for any reason other than playing a part in a political agenda, juxtaposed with a hefty dose of sour grapes.
