Hu Heckler is Charged in US Court
Topics: ChinaIf she where in China, Wang Wenyi would probably be tortured and face life in prison or execution. In the US she is charged with a misdemeaner:
A heckler from the Falun Gong spiritual movement who disrupted a White House appearance by Chinese President Hu Jintao was charged on Friday with harassing, intimidating and threatening a foreign official.[snip]
The misdemeanor charge carries a penalty of up to six months in jail. The law at issue bars willfully harassing, intimidating, coercing or threatening a foreign official in the performance of their official duties.
What gets ignored is China's systematic human rights abuses. While President Bush apologizes for the rude conduct of this single demonstrators, Hu Jintao, truly a modern tyrant in the flesh, is guilty of horrendous religions persecution, state mandated eugenics, forced late-term abortions and sterilization, and cruel population control practices.
In a recent newletter, the Polulation Research Institutes disclosed,
Just as China has 30,000 officers censoring the Internet for her population, China has legions of population control police. "They keep detailed records of every woman in their jurisdiction," said Mosher. Women's menstrual cycles are often monitored at factories or other places where they work, to detect an unauthorized pregnancy as early as possible.
