Why Does Size of the L.A. March 'Surprise Authorities'?Topics: Immigration and Border Issues
... the mantra "we are a nation of immigrants" is simply putting "lipstick on the pig" ... It is just another way to cover up, disguise, and gloss over the true story of the massive illegal immigration that is crushing our country. Sadly, it is being done with the duplicitous help of the media, politicians, and others, including our president, who have deliberately and maliciously obscured the real facts and truth about the millions upon millions of illegal aliens overwhelming America! - Daneen G. Peterson, Ph.D.
The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that would make it a felony to be in the U.S. illegally, impose new penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants, require churches to check the legal status of people they help, and erect fences along one-third of the U.S.-Mexican border.
The Senate is to begin debating the proposals on Tuesday.
So why is it that seeing thousands of illegal aliens, that have already broken the laws of the United States of America by illegally entering the country and remaining here, and are now demonstrating against more laws being passed to enforce the laws that the criminals (after all, they are I L L E G A L aliens) have and are breaking, come as a "big surprise" to "authorities"?
The big surprise to me is just why these thousands of people haven't already been rounded up and deported!
What these protests prove is how ridiculously out of control our federal government has let the problem get. Which is worse -- that a half million immigration criminals and their descendants and sympathizers can be found in a single American city, or that the current immigration enforcement system is such a joke that the half million have nothing to fear from openly entering the public streets and arguing against legislation currently before Congress?
And while we're on a roll, here's a message for the pro-illegal-alien crowd as well as other 'clueless' Americans repeat the mantra "after all we are a nation of immigrants, aren't we?"
The answer to that question is a loud and incontrovertible, NO! Most Americans today are NATIVE BORN and therefore NOT IMMIGRANTS! What is left unsaid in the above phrase is the significant fact that our American ancestors came to this country as LEGAL immigrants, which is the antithesis of the current invasion of ILLEGAL ALIENS supported by the open borders, pro-illegal alien crowd! The mantra "a nation of immigrants" is an inaccurate 'branding' of our current American culture and society. It is an incantation that contains substantial disinformation, some subtle, some blatant, which never seems to receive any scrutiny or debate.Read more to find out why. . .
Coverage on this topic isn't complete without Michelle Malkin's take:
(...) As Mickey Kaus points out, the reporters at the Los Angeles Times (and all other major media, for that matter) have downplayed the radical ethnic separatism that characterized the pro-illegal immigration rallies over the weekend. While the Times misleadingly asserted that the Los Angeles rally "featured more American flags than those from any other country," its reporters conveniently ignored marchers with extremist signs and banners advocating America-undermining concepts of reconquista and Aztlan...Also, via Michelle we have:
(...) Most of the members of the open-borders media won't dare breathe a word about this militant phenomenon, lest they be accused of...racism. Oh, the irony.
(...) Welcome to reconquista.
(...) Where are all the assimilationists now?
Tammy Bruce noted on FOX News this morning that American flags were burned at the LA rally and marchers also held signs of the North American continent with America x'ed out.And more with great images...
