Undocumented And Illegal Immigrants 'Demand' In-State College Tuition
Topics: Immigration and Border IssuesHow is it that a criminal has any right to demand getting paid for it?
As the U.S. Senate continued debates on how to handle the nation's estimated 12 million illegal immigrants, more than 100 people rallied outside the State House on Thursday to demand that undocumented students be allowed to pay in-state college tuition rates. These people are breaking the law just by being here, and now they want taxpayers to fund their college education.
It's hard to not have sympathy for these kids, but American taxpayers are getting soaked by the Federal governments failure to enforce the laws that prevent these kids parents from coming here illegally in the first place or throwing them out once they are here.
A complex issue you say? Absolutely, I agree. So let's start with the basics - they aren't suppose to be here in the first place. We are not talking about immigrants, we are talking about the children of illegal aliens that have broken Federal and State laws.
Feed them, clothe them, provide them health care and temporary shelter - during the time it takes to immediately arrange their transportation back to the country they came from.
