Time to get mad about gas prices!

Gasoline prices are going wild again, up as high as they were after Katrina hit, and it's happening amidst the most massive profit taking in the history of American oil industry.

Yet, gas prices are likely to get worse. Analysts are saying that US motorists are likely to face a fresh surge in fuel prices in the coming months amid a possible supply crunch, as new environmental rules come into effect at a time of peak demand.

It always seems that there is a new excuse for outlandish gasoline prices, but even if all of the excuses are valid, what explains the equally outlandish industry profits? I know, there's an excuse for that too.

Time is long overdue to tell our politicians that enough is enough. Get the damned fuel prices down and keep them there, or we'll replace you with those that will! Like Howard Beal before us, "We're as mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore" (listen to his 1976 "Network" speech on mp3)!
