The Dems Promise More On National Security

Topics: War on Terror

But Dan Riehl isn't buying it:

The Democrats have put out a position paper addressing what they would do as far as ... well, the war on terror and defense, I suppose. I doubt it will hold enough specifics to really know anything. The real hoot is that the big story is purportedly that they vow to catch Osama bin Laden. All that does is underscore their basic lack of understanding as regards the GWOT.
And we all have good reason to laugh out loud ...

After all, as Dan points out, there's no way in hell any of us should trust National Security to fellows like Kennedy, Schumer, Clinton, Kerry and Dean - particularly when they have done everything they can to undermine it during a time of war for no better reason than partisan politics.

The only thing that's changed is another election cycle, and as always, it's time to drag out their smoke and mirror routines, with the same old cast of characters, and I do mean characters.
