Mujahideens Brag About Attack - Then Become Target
Topics: IraqThe Mujahidin Shura Council of Iraq released a statement claiming responsibility for freeing 33 prisoners from a jail in the town of Muqdadiya northeast of Baghdad yesterday when they overran a police station, and then went on to brag that 40 Iraqi police were killed and that 3 helicopters were shot down. In fact, 18 police were killed and no helicopters were downed. That's their first mistake!
Their next and final mistake is that they were feeling so good about their success, they got sloppy and became targets themselves when US and Iraqi forces trapped them in a cross-fire and captured 50 of them. Apparently the brave Muhahideens forgot all about that "fight unto death" routine when it came to their own arses, and just gave up instead.
