Killing Scientists Could Save Lives

Topics:

Yes, it's true. Outspoken activist and trauma surgeon Dr. Jerry Vlasak asserts killing scientists is defensible and may save lives. Well, the lives of lab rats and mice - not people.

This wacko was quoted in the March 2006 issue of Abolitionist-Online as saying "Killing an animal abuser, who is not an innocent bystander, is morally defensible, and if they had the power to do so, animals would do it."

Vlasak compares the killing of animal researchers to "the killing of Nazi concentration camp guards and officers to free the prisoners being taken to the gas chambers." He suggests that such actions, "most likely would have made the next crop of soldiers less likely to volunteer for duty."

"So yes, I think the threat of violence would save lives, innocent lives. I'm sorry to say its true," says Vlasak.

Will Vlasak make good on his threats of violence? Perhaps not. But it is likely that some nut with nothing to lose will use Vlasak's remarks as the impetus for murder.

Interestingly, Vlasak's wife, former child star Pamelyn Ferdin, was recently quoted in an article as supporting "The Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty" activists. The group is charged with using their Web site to incite violence against Huntingdon Life Sciences, an animal-testing laboratory. The animal rights extremists regularly posted personal information about Huntingdon employees on their website, including home addresses, home phone numbers, the names of their children - even where their children went to school.
