Ginsburg Falls Asleep But Media Turns 'Blind Eye'

Topics: Political News and commentaries

2006-03-01-FNCSpecRpt.jpeg In one of the biggest redistricting cases the high court has heard in years, during a special two hour argument, "Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, at times, appeared to be - asleep.

On March 1, the Supreme Court heard arguments on the constitutionality of a Texas redistricting plan. One only has to look at the accompanying graphic to see how exciting Justice Ginsburg found the case.
Not one of the three broadcast evening news programs mentioned Ginsburg's nap, even though both NBC Nightly News and the CBS Evening News covered the hearing.

Any suggestions as to how much coverage would be given to a conservative member of the Supreme Court following asleep during an argument?.
