Experts On Iran Warn Western Powers - Again!
Topics: IranExperts continue to warn the Western powers about their approaches to the Iran crisis.
Amir Taheri, warned in The New York Post that the indecision and slow pace of action by the Western powers towards Iran amounts to a clear encouragement of the most radical factions in Tehran. And to think that the West is still toying around with Iran when Haaretz has reported of a meeting between former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar and Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Khamenei explained why Iran must declare war on Israel and the United States until they are completely destroyed.Michael Ledeen, in National Review Online, reminded the US government that it is ignoring the fact that Iran is at war with the US and they are convincing the world that they have already won in Iraq. He also reported massive troop movements inside Iran designed to battle the under-reported ethnic unrest there.
And as though toying around with civilizational security isn't silly enough, and despite serious concern over Iran's nuclear program, Britain continues to approve the export of military and security equipment to the Islamic republic. Officials said the government of Prime Minister Tony Blair has approved the sale of non-lethal military and security equipment to Iran. They said the exports were approved after Teheran pledged not to use the equipment for the military.
Because Iran pledged not to use the equipment for the military? Have the Brits totally lost their minds?
