Canada Deports Illegal Aliens In Droves - With No Amnesty
Topics: Immigration and Border IssuesDan at Riehl World View writes that we are hearing all about Bush's meetings with Vincente Fox, but let's not forget another individual who was there - Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. If Bush can praise Harper's steely resolve on lumber, why not on immigration?
Canada has begun deporting its illegal immigrants with only a few days notice - read the result.
Hint: Immigration Canada said there will not be an amnesty. The federal agency said they have a legal duty to remove people who have come to this country without following the proper procedures.
Meanwhile, back in Realityville, so far as solving the issue of illegal aliens from Mexico, President Bush's talks at the N. American summit with Vincente Fox have gone nowhere. We're still on square one!
How do most Americans feel about Bush's guest worker program ? By a 65% to 25% margin, Americans say it is more important to reduce the number of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. than it is to expand legal opportunities for foreign workers to get jobs in the U.S.
