Threats used to Thwart Cartoon Offense
Topics: Understanding IslamIn a twisted display of irony, (some) London cartoon protestors carried placards with slogans threatening a repeat of the September 11 and July 7 bombings. They were apparently demanding a more responsible use of the right to free speech. While backing the press' decision to reprint the cartoons, the majority of Britains saw the public death threats as inappropriate.
