The Cartoon Jihad continues as Pakistani's destroyed vehicles and businesses, including a McDonalds.

Police fired into the air and baton-charged protesters who set vehicles alight and ransacked outlets of international fast food companies, including McDonald's, KFC and Pizza Hut, and the Norwegian mobile phone firm Telenor, witnesses said.

Protesters also hurled stones at a Holiday Inn hotel and Western-owned filling stations. About 2,000 people staged a sit-in near the provincial assembly.

Meanwhile, in Iran scores of demonstrators protested the Danish cartoons by hurling petrol bombs at the British embassy. The protesters, mostly religious seminary students, chanted "Death to Tony Blair", "Death to Britain" and Death to America" while throwing hundreds of stones at the embassy buildings, smashing many windows.

I continue to receive criticism that the protestors are extremists, out of the Islamic mainstream, and not representatives of the "religion of peace". Yet, in Iran we see Muslim seminary students chanting "death to America" and bombing an embassy. Are they really extremists who know nothing about the Islamic religion or are they acting in a manner that is consistent with their beliefs?
