Marching To Dhimmitude
Topics: Dhimmitude
From Captain Quarters on Friday: The State Department has decided to give its opinion of free speech as it applies to the publication of cartoons satirizing Islam and Mohammed in Europe. Surprisingly, the department that represents America and its ideals of freedom abroad has decided to take this opportunity to scold the publishers rather than the angry mobs calling for violence...
One could easily apply the stance of the U.S. State Department to that of the "Dhimmi Times" editor in the above cartoon. As a commenter on a forum says(via Jawa Report):
Where was the outrage when their own people:The commenter has it right. The U.S. State Department has just committed the same degree of hypocracy! The condemnation belongs on the shoulders of the raging Muslims, not on the newspaper. Although it was insensitive of the Danish paper to publish the cartoons, much worse images of Christ have been shown in publications and art shows all over the world for years, yet not a single incident of violence and threats of death have occured.Behead prisoners
Record videos of prisoners begging for their lives
Car-bomb innocents
Use children to blow up soldiersPeople say "well not all Muslims are like that," and that may be true, But it seems "everyday Muslims" are condeming these cartoons, but had nothing to say about acts of terror.
No, it's pure hypocrisy. It's OK to kill westerners, but it's a high crime to print a cartoon of Muhammed.
Why should our civilization follow the rules of the Muslim's culture war, and why should Western societies have to behave in accordance with the Muslim's dictates, and why do the Muslims have the right and duty to attack to attack non-Muslims when non-Muslims follow the rules of their own established societies, culture and civilization - in their own lands??? Muhammad is THEIR prophet, NOT OURS. Let them follow their religious rules, but non-Muslims should be under NO OBLIGATION WHATSOEVER to follow Muslim's religious rules. It's not a case of being insensitive, it's a matter of what is right.
Where the U.S. State Department has it all wrong, a leading Canadian Muslim has it right (hat tip - (Rhymes With Right):
(...) "The protests in the Middle East have proven that the cartoonist was right," said Tarek Fatah, a director of the Muslim Canadian Congress. What in the hell is the U.S. State Department thinking of?
(...) "It's falling straight into that trap of being depicted as a violent people and proving the point that, yes, we are."

Islam divides the world into the Dar-al-Islam (House of Islam), where the faithful live, and the Dar-al-Harb (House of War), inhabited by the infidels. These "houses" are in a permanent state of war interrupted only by temporary tactical truces (Hudna), and this conflict will not cease until the whole world is brought into the Dar-al-Islam with institutionalized discrimination (dhimmitude) that targets Jews and Christians.
Others, such as Hindus and Buddhists, have a choice to convert or to be slaughtered. These regulations prohibit the non-Muslim from possessing arms, ringing church bells, testifying in courts, building and restoring houses of worship and require them to wear special identifying clothes.Other related reading: [Finding Moderate Muslims:] Do you believe in modernity?
