Freedom of the Press Saudi style
Topics: Understanding IslamI came across this article amongst the news items that I had not read due to some computer difficulties. The Saudi paper "Shams", a paper that is aimed at young Saudis, published some of the Danish cartoons, alongside an article that was urging the young to get angry and riot. The paper has been closed pending an investigation.
Was it the publishing of the cartoons that caused the government to act or is it just possible that the Saudi establishment do not want riots on their soil?
