Bloviate with Bill

Topics: Media, Video

Bill O'Reilly has a no-spin reputation he typically lives up to. Whether or not you agree with him, you have to admit he has an on-the-air presence that projects remarkable confidence and expertise.

Now six brave souls have been selected from among thousands to "bloviate with Bill", to spar on the air live with Bill O'Reilly.

Tonight, FoxNews Host Greg Kelly caught up with O'Reilly, asking questions about the Factor's latest feature that allows "amateurs to go head-to-head with Bill O'Reilly".

O'Reilly said that it is about giving viewers access to The Factor. "I take it easy on them," he explained. "I'm going to be nice to them but I'm going to give them an experience. It's almost like going to one of these fantasy baseball camps. Where you go down and you play in Florida with the Mets in the off-season and they're at three quarters of what they can do..."

O'Reilly's description about how he prepares amateur guests was interesting:

They're nervous ... Despite the rumors, I'm not a mean guy ... I try to reassure them that I will save them no matter what happens. And I will.
However, the most engaging statement O'Reilly made concerned his treatment of "regular" guests:
I'm going to tell you and your reviewers here on the weekend something that I very rarely say. I have saved other people here and I'm sure you know that. I mean, I could crush some of the guests here. And I don't. Sometimes I'll move in and really disassemble somebody but they have to deserve that for me to do it. Most of the time I want people to escape with their dignity.
