Acceptance of their intolerance - it's all part of radical Islam's plan

Topics: Understanding Islam

Civilised people don't usually make their "hurt felt" by torching other people's embassies, stoning churches and waving the sort of banners reported at a protest over the cartoons in London last week: "Massacre those who insult Islam", "Europe, your 9/11 will come" - Miranda Devine, The Sydney Morning Herald.

Miranda Devine writes in The Sydney Morning Herald, of what we've all witnessed since 9/11 and is what Daniel Pipes has described as a "creeping acceptance of Muslim intolerance," that moves us ever closer to acceptance of the Islamist's totalitarian ideology that their belief is superior to our liberal democracy. And as we've also witnessed, whenever there's a difference between their approach and (the West's) approach, they want (the West) to become like them and not vice versa. She offers Pipes' warning that this non-violent but incremental encroachment on Western secular society curtails our freedoms and accords the Muslim minority special privileges which is indeed, part of their agenda, a second prong of a radical Islamic attack on the West: a relentless demand for cultural change.

By all means, you need to read Devine's piece...
