Throw Stones At The Devil, Get Immediate Response
Topics: Understanding IslamScott Adams, via Little Green Footballs, comments on this year's human stampede in Mecca, that claimed more than 350 lives at last count: The Dilbert Blog: The Devil.
I think it's interesting that when you pray to God for a new bike, it hardly ever materializes in your bedroom within seconds. But when you throw stones at the devil, quite often you get an immediate response. That's an example of good customer service. As one commenter put it at The Dilbert Blog, maybe they should have thrown the luggage (that they tripped over), instead.

This is heartbreaking. Here these people are trying to be good, loyal and complaint, believing they are doing what their God wants them to do, and this type tragedy happens again. Whoever their god is, she/he wouldn't want this. I hope their leaders come up with a different approach for complying with this Mecca ritual so another trampling and massive deaths do not occur.
