Terri Schiavo's Husband Re-Married in Catholic Church
Topics: Terri Schiavo's Life CountsIn case you missed the news: "Michael Schiavo, who had his disabled wife Terri killed last March by refusing her food and water, was re-married last Saturday in the Roman Catholic Church of Espiritu Santo in Florida."
In the article we learn that on Saturday, Terri Schiavo's sister Suzanne Vitadamo spoke out against the Catholic bishops of Florida, saying Terri may not have been killed if the bishops would have supported the fight to protect her life. As a Catholic, I was dumbfounded by the bizarre and shocking comments of Terri's bishop - Robert Lynch, as well as his abject failure to speak against her euthanasia (his formal statement during Terri's life can be found here).
As Father Robert J. Johansen said: " If the courts had reconsidered the facts, if doctors had followed procedures, if reporters had asked obvious questions, if bishops had spoken out boldly- a gross injustice might have been averted. "
