Saddam's WMD - Where Did They Go?
Topics: IraqMichelle Malkin points to Ira Stoll's piece at the New York Sun as the story of the day that the rest of the MSM won't be covering.
The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed. It's hard to believe that this guy could have just made all this stuff up, so could what he says be for real? The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, "Saddam's Secrets," released this week. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.
Michelle has links to a lot of excellent analysis of the story from the right side of the blogosphere, including its weaknesses and strengths, and its implications.
Readers will recall that back in December an Israeli Lieutenant General, Moshe Yaalon, asserted that Saddam spirited his chemical weapons out of the country on the eve of the war. He said that Saddam transferred chemical agents from Iraq to Syria - and that no one went looking for them there.
Here's a little more about a Syria-ous problem.
