On 'Future Jihad' And The Terrorist's Strategies Against America
Topics: Understanding Islam"Many visionary people in the West and many more brave people in the Muslim world will contribute. This will decide if future jihads end up with mushroom clouds around the world, or if peace, democracy, and freedom mushroom worldwide." - Walid Phares, "Future Jihad"

I'm currently reading Future Jihad, by Walid Phares, and although I don't get a penny for plugging it or you buying it, I highly recommend it to anyone interested in continuing life in Western civiliazation -as we now know it. Without question, it is the most informative reading on jihad and the terrorist agenda, that I have ever read - and I typically read over a 200 articles a week on the subject. This book is more than a must read, it is a must know! The West is in great danger, and knowing of the threat and of the Islamist agenda is paramount to knowing what actions must be taken.
Contrary to the teachings of Western academics, jihad is not, and never has been, a peaceful phenomenon. Phares argues that the financial and diplomatic influence of Islamist sympathizers in the United States has fostered an obfuscation of the facts regarding the true nature of jihadist ideology, and that universities across the country, particularly Middle East Studies departments, are complicit in this. Many college textbooks, for example, gloss over the violent, expansionist nature of early Islamic history. And as Phares astutely points out, a misinformed academy leads inevitably to a misinformed media, a misinformed government and a misinformed public.
One reviewer says of Dr. Walid Phares, that he is among the few whose expertise allows him to enunciate the differences between those who misuse the religion of Islam for their extremist, terrorist agenda, and the mainstream Muslims who believe in democracy, religious tolerance, and the rule of law.
Another reviewer says that the book Future Jihad presents a frightening new picture of what we can expect from terrorists in the future. Phares shows that there has been a fundamental misunderstanding about al Qaeda's ultimate goal in the West and what victory means to jihadists. Called by the press, 'the only person who really can read the minds of terrorists', Phares is uniquely qualified to identify the aims and strategies of the organizations waging war on the West. He answers such critical questions as: How long will this war last? Is the United States secure on the inside? Will it have to engage the jihadists worldwide in multiple campaigns and where? Future Jihad points the way for America to win the ideological war at the heart of jihad.
If you've already read it - spread the wisdom, knowledge, and book around. If you haven't, get it, read it, and share it. Our lives may well depend on knowing our enemy, and the mistakes that we are making at this very moment.
