'Joel Stein Is A Dork' And A Moonbat

On January 24 Joel Stein opened his Los Angeles Times column with: "I don't support our troops." It received attention - which he was obviously seeking.
As said by McQ at the QandO Blog, and with which I concur - "I completely, totally, unequivocally and thoroughly reject Stein's argument, but I respect the fact that he is at least intellectually honest about his moral opposition to the war in Iraq. Too bad the same can't be said for the majority of the war protesters." An update at McQ appropriately notes that respect for Joel's honesty is addressed (ONLY) to those who morally oppose the war, not to those who, "don't support the war because they think it's a bad foreign policy choice or being run poorly."
You'll should read Stein's profile (hat tip - Hugh Hewitt), Jesse Oxfeld at Stanford Magazine says he's a dork. I think he's also a Kool-Aid drinking moonbat.

John Hinderaker at Powerline said that Stein's column was "Way Over The Top."
A Lonestar Times reader reminds us that "Throughout history it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph" - Haile Selassie, Oct 1963.
However, all this slides under Stein's radar, since he still stands by his 'L.A. Times' column on not supporting our troops.
All Americans should be sure to read a "A Soldier's Response to Joel Stein" in The American Thinker - among other things, the writer says that Stein's comments are indicative of a man who has enjoyed our freedoms with none of the responsibility.
So, even though I've never met or even heard of the guy, I still say that Joel Stein is a dork and a moonbat - a dhimmi, one of those voices that makes it possible for evil to triumph. Too bad, for the rest of us, that we have to have people like him aiding the enemies of the West, while we try to defeat the Islamofascists that desire to do us all harm.
