CAIR And The ACLU: 'Domestic Surveillance Making It Hard To Communicate Via Telephone And E-Mail With Overseas 'Clients'' (Updated)

Topics: War on Terror

Update below in extended post...

Islamic terrorists all over the world are plotting to kill Americans, and many of the very people that aid, abet, and also who will conduct, terrorist operations against us, are here inside our borders, while conversing with al-Qaeda leaders and operatives outside the country. So who can they count on to protect them from surveillance?

None other than CAIR and the ACLU, of course! The group is now suing to stop domestic spy programs meant to catch terrorists before they act.

The group said the surveillance program has inhibited its ability to represent clients vigorously, making it hard to communicate via telephone and e-mail with overseas clients, witnesses and others for fear the conversations would be overheard.
"For fear the conversations would be overheard"? Who are they talking to and what are they saying that they have to worry about? What key words are they using that alert data mining programs to key-in on their conversations? You don't mean that President Bush's domestic surveillance program would prevent CAIR and the ACLU's "clients" from using words like "kill -Americans-bomb-nuclear-suicide-explosives-al-Qaeda) and others?

Al-Qaeda, Iran and other Islamic terrorist handlers and enablers around the world, just couldn't have better friends than CAIR and the ACLU. But they are no friends to America and Western civilization. With the world on the brink of a nuclear confrontation with Iran, what are these people thinking?

As noted by Michelle Malkin, "YOU CAN'T "CONNECT THE DOTS..." - if you don't collect them!

Robert Spencer writes: "Which side are they on? One small example - this program evidently uncovered evidence that 20 Iraqis -- identified as "Osama's people" -- were offering money to be smuggled across the border from Mexico into the United States. Would CAIR and the ACLU prefer that they cross the border unhindered?"

Update: Riehl World View has a thorough piece on another civil liberties group that has filed a lawsuit against the Bush administration. And these guys are even worse than the ACLU and CAIR.
