Shark Bites Boat As Family Snaps Photo
Topics: Human Interest
On the first day of summer weekday shark patrols, the alarm was sounded to get swimmers out of the water at Aldinga's Silver Sands Beach after a huge shark was seen just 100m off shore yesterday.
That's when a man, his son, and a friend were enjoying a "relaxing day in the boat" at Middle Beach, about 40km north of Adelaide, when a 4m Great White Shark launched out of the water and tore into a bait bag attached to their 5.4m fibreglass boat.
Their reaction other than to take a picture - they said, "it was a bit of a shock."
If it were me, I'd find another means of recreation.
