Saudis Give 400 Jhadists "Counseling," Then Release Them
Topics: TerrorismI feel so much safer now. It's good to know just how tough our friends, the Saudis, are on terrorists, and have carefully screened and counseled terrorists before releasing them for repenting.
Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch seems to feel the same way. As he says, there's "No more "deviant thoughts" among these guys. The Saudis have taken care of all of it. And we all know we can trust the House of Saud.""
JEDDAH, 19 December 2005 -- Saudi Arabia has released nearly 400 detainees, held for security reasons, after providing them with intense counseling and making sure they are free of deviant thoughts, the Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday quoting a security official. And not only are our buddies, the House of Saud, tough on terrorists in their own country (sic), they are concerned about the religious experience of Muslims outside Saudi Arabia, as well (presumably so that they refrain from terrorism?) - after all, the 9/11 hijackers' homeland has pumped millions into some of largest Islamic centers in the U.S. as far back as at least 2002.Dr. Muhammad Al-Nujaimi, head of the department of civic studies at King Fahd Security Academy in Riyadh, said the 400 were set free during the past months.
In a previous statement, Interior Minister Prince Naif had spoken about plans to release some detainees after they repented and decided to return to the right path.
One little problem though, Wahhabism, the Saudi brand of Islam, is what Time magazine has referred to as the "Toxic Faith," and Reza F. Safa, author of Inside Islam, estimates that since 1973, the Saudi government has spent an unbelievable $87B to promote Wahhabism in the United States, Africa, Southeast Asia and Europe.
Gosh, and we're counting on the Saudis to determine of these terrorists that they just released have "repented."? Repented from what?
Well, considering that Daniel Pipes reports that "significant elements within the American Islamic community seek to replace our Constitution with the Quran, a "ludicrous fantasy," to be sure; but one that offers a glimpse of Wahhabi dreams for America," do you think we can count on our buddies the Sauds to make such a determination?
Consider also that Stephen Schwartz writes, "Al-Qaeda represents "Wahhabism in its purest form - a violent fundamentalist doctrine that rejects all non-Wahhabi Islam, especially the spiritual forms of Islam. Wahhabism is an expansionist sect intolerant of Shi'ite Islam, Judaism, Christianity, and Hinduism; in fact, Wahhabists seek to challenge and destroy these faiths. The Saudi-Wahhabi threat must not be underestimated; it requires our grave attention."
Oh well, at least we have the Saudis' assurance that 400 Islamoterrorists "have repented and decided to return to the right path." That's soooo..... comforting.
