Sanity Reigns as Letterman's Restraining Order is Lifted
Topics: Strange but trueSimply put, Colleen Nestler is a nut. In a request filed on 15 December, she asked for Late Night Host David Letterman to stay at least three yards away from her and not "think of me, and release me from his mental harassment and hammering".
She accused Letterman of using code words, gestures and "eye expressions" to send her messages since she began sending him "thoughts of love" after his Late Show program began in 1993. One alleged message was for Nestler to be trained as the Late Show's co-host and Letterman's mental cruelty for 11 years allegedly forced her to go bankrupt
Unfortunately, her request for a restraining order was originally granted, apparently on the basis of her testimony alone. However, today sanity reigned and a judge in New Mexico lifted the order after Letterman's lawyers appealed.
Nestler responded by promising that if Letterman or any of his representatives came near her, she would "break their legs" but denied after the hearing that she was making a threat.
Colleen, stop staying up late, turn off your TV and go see a therapist.
