Muslim world unites to beg for the lives of Iraq hostages

Topics: Iraq
"In the name of the Muslim Brotherhood worldwide, I call for the western peace activists in Iraq to be released immediately. Islam rejects the kidnapping of innocent people regardless of their aim, beliefs and opinion, and all laws locally and internationally consider kidnapping a crime, particularly when it targets innocent peace activists who are known for their activity and solidarity for the Iraqi cause."
Pardon my French, but what a bunch of crap - and the world's press gives credence to, "Islam rejects the kidnapping of innocent people regardless of their aim, beliefs and opinion, and all laws locally and internationally consider kidnapping a crime"?

The headline should be reading, "Naive, Christian Peaceniks, stroke, collaborate with, and place themselves in the circles of our enemies (hell, even an Islamic terrorist in jail has used the occasion to taut Islam as peaceful and tolerant) - to be manipulated, stage crafted, orchestrated and used as tools for Islamist and anti-American, anti-war in Iraq, propaganda, and against our nation's efforts to combat terrorism and murder.

Where were the outcries from the Muslim world over the people killed in these events...

And where were the outcries to save Nick Berg from beheading (and many others), and Ronald Schulz, the 30 people killed and at least 25 wounded on a Baghdad bus , the six abducted Sudanese drivers who worked for a Jordanian firm, to name only a few?

More than 200 foreigners have been kidnapped in Iraq. Kidnappers have demanded the release of Iraqi prisoners, the withdrawal of troops, and ransoms for the hostages' release. Some have been released, but about one-third of them have been killed. Others are believed to be still held hostage in Iraq.
And there were no outcries over the 134 jihad attacks, 716 people killed, and 1077 people critically injured - just in the month of November, all by Islamic terrorists.

And there have been no outcries from the Muslim world over the 3,692 terrorist attacks since 9/11.

And it would seem reasonable to inquire about the following list of hostages killed by Islamic terrorists prior to November 17, 2004, many of which were beheaded ...

AMERICANS Jack Hensley and Eugene Armstrong, employees of a Gulf-based contractor, were beheaded by Al-Qaeda-linked militants demanding the release of Iraqi women prisoners after being seized with colleague Bigley on September 16. Nicholas Berg, 26, a Jewish-American businessman was beheaded by Al-Qaeda-linked militants in May after being kidnapped the previous month.

BRITONS
November 16, The family of Margaret Hassan, a British-Irish aid worker, said she had probably been killed by her captors. A video received but not broadcast by the Al-Jazeera channel showed a blind-folded woman being shot and the British government also said she was probably dead.
October 8, the family of Kenneth Bigley, an employee of a Gulf-based contractor, said it had "absolute proof" that he was killed by his abductors.

BULGARIANS
On August 11, Bulgaria confirmed that truck driver Ivailo Kepov, 32, had been beheaded by a group linked to the Al-Qaeda network. He and another truck driver, Georgy Lazov, 30, were kidnapped on July 8 near Mosul.
Lazov was also beheaded and his body identified on July 22 after it was found floating in the River Tigris.

IRAQIS
Unknown number, about hundreds for political and unpolitical reasons.

ITALIANS
On August 26, the so-called Islamic Army in Iraq said it executed Italian journalist Enzo Baldoni, who went missing with two French reporters.
In April, Fabrizio Quattrocchi, one of four private security contractors who were kidnapped, was shot dead within days. The others were freed in June during an operation by US-led forces.

LEBANESE
Hussein Olayyan, 26, a telecommunications employee, had his throat slit in June after disappearing near Fallujah.

MACEDONIANS
On Oct 22, Macedonian officials identified from television footage two Macedonians--Zoran Nasovski and Dalibor Lazarevski--they said had been executed by Islamic extremists in Iraq. The body of a third victim was unknown. Nasovski and Lazarevski were kidnapped along with a third Macedonian, Dragan Markovic.

NEPALIS
On August 31, 12 workers taken hostage in Iraq by Al-Qaeda-linked militants were executed, according to footage posted on an Islamist website.

PAKISTANIS
In late July, migrant workers Sajid Naeem, 29, and Azad Hussein Khan, 49, were killed by Islamic militants.

SOUTH KOREANS
In June, Islamic militants beheaded Kim Sun-Il, 30, after the South Korean government rejected an ultimatum to scrap plans to deploy more than 3,000 troops to Iraq and withdraw over 600 already in the country.

TURKS
On September 13, grisly footage of the execution of Turkish trucker Durmus Kumdereli was posted on an Islamist website.

On September 2, militants said they had killed three other Turkish drivers, as the bodies of three Turks were found on the roadside north of Baghdad.

Fellow Turkish driver Murat Yuce was executed and a video of his killing was released on August 2.

UNKNOWN
The body of a blonde woman with her legs and arms cut off and throat slit was found on November 14 lying on a street in Fallujah, a notorious Iraqi enclave for hostage-takers, US marines said.

I recall what I wrote when I posted that Ronald Schulz was reported by MSNBC to have been murdered (also above). I said, "don't look for a horrified vociferous outcry from our left-wing, liberal, anti-military, anti-administration, anti-American news media - it won't be forthcoming."
What you ARE hearing and seeing on your screens today is interviews and reporting on the story about the naive, Christian peaceniks, that stroke, collaborate with, and place themselves in the circles of our enemies (hell, even an Islamic terrorist in jail has used the occasion to taut Islam as peaceful and tolerant) - to be manipulated, stage crafted, orchestrated and used as tools for Islamist and anti-American, anti-war in Iraq, propaganda, and against our nation's efforts to combat terrorism and murder.
And that is exactly what is going on here! Do I believe that these idiot peaceniks deserve to die? Hell no! But neither did the thousands of others that have been kidnapped and killed by Muslim extremists.

Buddhist monks are being murdered, Christian schoolchildren beheaded and dissenters blown up. Southeast Asia's peaceful co-existence among religions is under siege, from Bangkok to Jakarta. Meanwhile, politicians and military leaders are using Islamic fervor to boost their own power.
So, where's the outcries from the Muslim world???

I call upon you to look with compassion and kindness on all the people of Iraq. As one who has worked with the Christian Peacemaker Teams in Iraq on and off since before the war I know how important it is that people do not inflame the atmosphere. I invite you to work overtime to build healthy, respectful and joyful relationbships with our Muslim sisters and brothers. As I write I continue to follow the story of the Christian Peacemaker Teams who are being detained. I call upon all who read this to pray for the release of all detainees who are being held without adaquate process or proof. Lets join together to build a world wide nonviolent culture where conflict can be worked on without killing each other. Sincerely, Gene Stoltzfus
