Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah (Updated)

As Harry mentioned in our previous post, unless some earth-shattering news comes along that's worthy of commentary, we are taking a break from posting for the Christmas holidays. We will be resuming regular posting on Monday, December 26.

Harry's Natalee commentary will start back up on the Tuesday 27th of December 2005.

Again, Merry Christmas to all, and thanks to all of you who read us - and a special thanks to all of you who offer your comments.

And just couldn't help calling this to your attention, especially since Harry just sent us the news about the 22 congressmen that hate Christmas. Notice that every single congressman that did not vote for the resolution "protecting the symbols and traditions of Christmas" was a Democrat!

This year's "War for Christmas" - keeping "Christ" in the holiday has apparently been won. And, like many "wars," there has even been a Congressional resolution in support of keeping Christmas alive and well.

On December 15 the House of Representatives passed a resolution "protecting the symbols and traditions of Christmas" by an overwhelming 401-22 vote.

Representative JoAnn Davis (R-VA), the resolution's sponsor, said the resolution was necessary to counter "political correctness run amok."

... Twenty-two Democrats played Scrooge and disagreed.

Again, Merry Christmas and Happy Chanuka to all, at that also goes for those 22 Democratic scrooges.
