Media magnate Kerry Packer dies
Topics: Human InterestThe media magnate and Australia's richest man , Kerry Packer, has died at the age of 68. He was the owner of PBL enterprises and is reputed to have personal wealth of over $6 billion.
Mr Packer is well known for his ownership of channel 9, Business Review Weekly and a string of magazines under the heading of Australian Consolidated Press. He had been sick for quite a long time, having a heart attack in 1998, a heart bypass operation, and a kidney transplant. His driver donated the kidney.
