Iraq closes its borders ahead of elections
Topics: IraqIn an effort to defeat the insurgents, Iraq has closed its borders in preparation for the coming elections. The closing of the borders will make it more difficult for the wannabe terrorist-murderers to continue their deadly attempt to reach the hellfire that awaits the wicked.
The difference between these elections and the elections held in January is that there is an expectation that the Sunnis who boycotted the first election, including some who are amongst the insurgents will take the opportunity to vote.
It looks as if the Jordanian born Palestinian Al-Zarqawi has lost a lot of ground since the bombings in Jordan. If this is correct then it is only a matter of time before more of the insurgents and foreign terrorists are rounded up by the Iraqi troops.
The Iraqis now understand that if they want the foreign troops to get out then they must have a stable government, and the insurgency needs to end. However, Al-Zarqawi, a friend of Saddam Hussein, has other ideas because it is not in his interests to see an end to the Sunni insurgency.
