Hawaii Supreme Court: Unborn Children Are Not 'Human Beings'

Topics: Life Issues

tayshea1.jpegThe lady in the image on the right, Tayshea Aiwohi, was found guilty in connection with the death of her newborn son by smoking crystal methamphetamine shortly before his birth. However, the Supreme Court of Hawaii has ruled that unborn children are not "human beings," and therefore women cannot be prosecuted for causing the death of babies by harmful behavior during their pregancies.

Tayshea gave birth to her son, Treyson, July 15, 2001, but the boy perished within two days with high levels of methamphetamine and amphetamine in his system, according to the local coroner.

The woman allegedly admitted to using the drugs for three days before the birth and took a "hit" on the morning her son was delivered.

As one would expect, a senior Democrat jumped to the defense of the defense of the murder of the unborn - the House Judiciary Chairwoman Sylvia Luke, a Democrat, agreed with the decision.

So why is it that the Left, virtually all Democrats, always comes down on the wrong side of life?

So, basically, the left approves of the modes of killing which will most likely kill the innocent, but opposes the mode which will most likely kill the guilty.

The reverse is true for the right. They approve of the mode of killing which will most likely kill the guilty, but oppose the modes which will most likely kill the innocent.

In other words, the right is trying to protect the innocent, while the left is trying to protect the guilty.

What if both sides came together and decided that the guilty should always be punished, but murder is never justified; and at the same time, both sides came together and said that the innocent never deserve punishment, and certainly don't deserve killing? Would we all not then trully be on solid moral and ethical grounds, and then, be in a much stronger position to tell Islamofascists, that killing people that are not engaged in a declared war, and on the battlefield, is wrong?
