HarryTho 12/9 Natalee Holloway Commentary (Breaking Update - Letter From Natalee???)Topics: Natalee Holloway
Breaking Update: Jayne Mitchell of MSNBC News interviewed Beth Twitty, Steve Cohen and Tim Miller.
Jayne discussed Beth's involvement in the Tara Ginstead disappearance. Beth truly is making the issue of missing persons visible and getting people to act. Tim Miller lauded Beth's participation and all she has brought to the missing persons' investigation. Truly, Beth is a gift to all missing persons.
Steve Cohen mentioned possible reinterviewing of the three suspects. He went over that the 12,000 pages of testimony have been reviewed. He revealed a new prosecutor is coming from Curacao (old news actually) to oversee the case to check for new leads.
The hot item reported by Steve Cohen was a letter received by Paulus van der Sloot claiming to be from Natalee Holloway. She explains in the letter why she ran away from her mother and is living in the USA. She tells the Dutch authorities to test the letter for her DNA to verify that it is her. Steve Cohen reported that Police Chief Dompig received the letter from Paulus today and immediately sent it to the Dutch Forensic Institute (DFI) for DNA testing and authentication.
In another important update - Dan Riehl at Riehl World View has information that would appear to contradict the Natalee letter. As implied in the title of his post, the confusion does indeed continue.
Beth Twitty tried to evade responding, stressing that the police should focus on the blood in Joran's sneaker. She claimed that she was not hopeful of the letter.
Comment: This could be a break! A letter from Natalee! But then again, maybe not! - end of update
Update from comments - On the breaking news about the letter from Natalee, it appears that Greta On The Record was "off the record" again.
If you have not heard, the Aruban court censured Police Chief Dompig. He will not be addressing the media any more. Apparently, the motion by Joran van der Sloot's lawyer was accepted over the police chief stating that he knew the three suspects were guilty.
This evening will discuss second passport availability. The aim of a rendition about passports is to provide our readers with an understanding of how easy it is to obtain these travel documents. First, what we will cover is the different categories of "second" passports and their requirements. Please make no mistake: These following passports are authentic. They are not fake passports. After which, we will expose the passport game as it really is, despite the wonderful claims of their authors.
Belize to Act on Passports - Global Policy Forum - Nations and States
Under the programme, prospective citizens paid $50,000 per family, or $40,000 if the applicant was single. In addition, a fee was paid to licensed immigration consultants who prepared applications on behalf of the government.
The integrity of the passport sale programme was questioned four months ago when a Mexican, whose application was approved in a few days, was soon after charged with narcotics trafficking. His citizenship was revoked.
Grenada Passport and Economic Citizenship
Government fees vary depending upon the number of family members applying. There is a standard fee for family consisting of a husband, wife and three children under twenty-five years of age.

US$ 22,000.00 to the Treasury
US$ 17,000.00 to a Government Approved Project
The fees for processing legal and administrative work is approximately US$ 11,000.00

Residency Programs - The Barrington Group, Inc. Regional Relocation Consulting
Panama Residency Program!
Panama offers a residency program whereby an individual receives rights of residency through the investment of US$250,000 in a government approved business.
1997 Tuvalu Selling Passports
A Tuvalu passport would sell for 11,000 U.S. dollars per person, or 22,000 U.S. dollars per family. This is a business development scheme that is very Tuvaluan.
Kiribati President Teburoro Tito told Pacific Report that his government made 1.5 million Australian dollars from passport sales.
They sell at 18,000 Australian dollars each and buyers undertake obligations to invest in Kiribati.
Australia, New Zealand and the United States do not recognize the passports. "Our investors will have to avoid Australia and New Zealand travel," Tito told Pacific Report.
Sinister shell game on Nauru hides a cast of global villains - smh.com.au
In the past six years, thousands of passports have been sold for $US15,000 to $US35,000 each.
Somalian diplomatic passports
He even offered to sell me a Somali diplomatic passport, for just $100. He said he would indicate in the passport that I was the Somali Ambassador to China or any other country of my choice. He said they are printed in Malaysia and then smuggled into Kenya, where they are sold to Somalis desperate to travel abroad.
The printing of passports has been privatized. For just $80 and in less than 24 hours, I became a Somali citizen, born in Mogadishu. As I had omitted to travel with any passport-sized photos, my supplier kindly left the laminate for that page intact, for me to stick down at home. For a slightly higher fee, I was offered a diplomatic passport, with my choice of posting or ministerial job.
The foregoing passport descriptions (and offers) can be categorized as: citizenship, investment, overseas and residency. A citizenship category passport comprises of Belize, Tuvalu, and Somalia. With a citizenship passport, a holder is entitled to come and go as he pleases and reside in the country. These are by far the best types of passports to hold. Free travel throughout the world is available (with few restrictions).
The investment passport category consists of Grenada, Dominica and Kiribati. The holder of these passports is required to invest a sizable amount of his assets into the country in order to maintain the passport privilege. If the holder does maintain a required amount invested within the country, then his passport resembles the citizenship passport, eventually. The passport can be revoked on an anniversary date (expiry date), if the holder failed to maintain the minimum investment within the country.
The overseas passport category: the Nauru passports, is a strange animal. The holder is entitled to roam throughout the world; however, he may not reside beyond a set amount of time within the country of his second passport (Nauru). This is often referred to as a "traveler's passport." Hong Kongese were such passport holders prior to the turnover in 1997. Hong Kongese held a British Overseas Passport which entitled the to roam anywhere in the world under the protection of the British Crown; however, they were forbidden to reside permanently within thin the British Isles.
The residency passport is associated with Panama. This is the worst type of second passport. This passport allows the holder to relocate to Panama, provided the holder has invested a minimum amount of his assets in the country of Panama.
It does not provide worldwide travel, except where the passport is accepted. In a sense, it acts somewhat like a green card (permanent resident alien card) in the USA. Despite the lack of appeal of the Panama Residency Passport, the USA has developed a similar system in order to attract overseas investment into depressed areas of the United States. Though the USA does not issue a special passport, it uses a sequence of business visa, green card and eventually full citizenship for sustained investment of some US $1 million within the USA. For depressed areas, the sum has been lowered to US $500,000.00.
All the hereinabove mentioned passports are designed to improve the offering country's economy. And, it works.
Like all good deals, there exists a caveat. After 911, most of these second passports were discontinued or severely restricted by pressure from the United States. Some of the above passports, like Kiribati, never received full USA recognition. Now, after 911, it appears that all of these passports are frowned upon within the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. Some countries have discontinued offering them; whereas, others still maintain a offering with the restriction that some parts of the world may not accept them.
Having said all the foregoing, allow me elaborate a little on what is going on. Yes, the USA refuses to recognize these passports; however, other parts of the world do accept them. Accordingly, via some clandestine outlets, the second passports are available. Although they restrict your access to the USA, most people (well, Americans) who purchase them, do so in order to escape the detection of the USA.
For example: an American takes a 7-day excursion to the Bahamas. He uses his USA passport to enter the Bahamas. If he desires to skip out to the Grand Caymans for some financial arrangement that the IRS would frown upon, then he would employ his second passport to travel to the Grand Caymans, do his business and return to the Bahamas prior to the expiry of his 7-day excursion. On the 7th day, he would return to the USA on his US passport. His trip to the Grand Caymans would not be reflected on his US passport. Whatever financial transactions that he undertook while in the Grand Caymans would likewise be unrecorded.
Now, if one were to assume a no-limit credit card underwritten from a secret numbered account in a tax haven (like the Grand Caymans), one could begin to appreciate the advantages of a second passport for these clandestine departures from the surveillance of the IRS. Obviously, it would defeat the purpose of such a secret, no-limit, credit card, if the holder of the second passport made charges on US soil, now wouldn't it?
The next expose is even more rewarding. Despite all I have narrated about second passports and their restrictions, the only thing that actually matters is that they exists. You see, the minister with oversight as to their issuance can waive any of the requirements that he chooses. Accordingly, if the investment requirement is waived, then that second passport becomes as valuable as the citizenship passport. And, its purchase price becomes comparable. Now, I really do not want to embarrass anyone; however, with the exception of the USA, it is my understanding that not a lot of investment accompanies these second passports. Actually, I do not recall ever authenticating any investment whatsoever. However, I cannot say that investment does not occur.
Whatever the case, the Caribbean passports: Belize, Grenada, Dominica and Panama would have been available to Natalee Holloway, if she desired to escape the USA (her family) or engage is some death scam, donations' fraud and/or extortion scheme. All these second passports would have been accepted in most Latin American and Caribbean countries.
And, let us face it. Anyone can walk across the Mexican border with an American driver's license and command of the English language. If they choose to avoid an entry checkpoint, they do not even need to understand English!
On the cable side of news, Greta of Fox News covered little of Beth Twitty. Her show explored the Tara Grinstead disappearance.
Beth came in with some support for the Grinstead family, and expressed her sympathy with the Grinsteads over being told that the test results from forensics would be coming in and they did not. Apparently, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) employs similar police procedures as the Aruban police.

SNIPPED: Comment: This could be a break! A letter from Natalee! But then again, maybe not! - end of update
Why would NH send a letter to PVS? Why not Aruban LE. This letter must be a hoax.
Posted by: Max at December 10, 2005 1:18 AM
If Natalee's letter is real then the reason she send it to PVS could be somekind of appology (I haven't read the letter yet!).
On the other hand you're right it is very likely to be a hoax. Maybe send by some sick person (agian I haven't read the letter or the specifics yet!)
I hope the letter is real though, simply because it means that Natalee is alive and well!
Posted by: Also_Dutch at December 10, 2005 1:39 AM
IF she is alive and well somewhere then she definitely owes that family an apology for not coming forward sooner, IMHO.
I too would like to think that Natalee is alive, Dutch. But it seems a bit of wishful thinking at this point.
Posted by: Max at December 10, 2005 2:05 AM
If Natalee were to write a letter to anyone, to whom would she write? Her mom? Highly unlikely choice, she ran away in order to get away from her. Jug Twitty? He may be the real reason she ran away. The police? To whom in the police department would she write? To Joran? Joran is in Holland. I doubt she knows Joran's address. She would write to Joran's address in Aruba. She knows she has done great harm to Joran and his family.
If Natalee sincerely desired to escape her mother's, Hitler's Sister's daughter, grasp, then perhaps she is quite different in personality than her mother and Jug. She is remorseful for what has happened. However, there exists no way that she will return to Beth's sphere of influence. So, she writes to Joran address in Aruba.
What seems interesting is that she would not reveal herself when Joran and the Kalpoe brothers were incarcerated. She revealed herself only when her Mountain Brook friends were criticized for their behavior in Aruba and the investigation turned away from Aruba upon Alabama. Consequently, she continues to maintain friends in Mountain Brook. Unfortunately, those friends may have known of her residence in America all along.
I suspect that the letter is real and from a very frightened and embarrassed girl. I am glad she is OK.

Posters at another site are reporting that Natalee Holloway allegedly sent three letters out: Paulus van der Sloot, FBI and Beth Twitty. The posters claim that the letter is postmarked from Arkansas.

When they said the letter was sent to Paulus, I just assumed that it was meant for him, but you're right, Harry; how else would she get a message to Joran.
Beth was getting letters from America simply addressed to Beth Twitty, Aruba. So Natalee didn't need the exact address for Paulus.

Thanks for the update, Harry.
This is being to sound like the real thing.
Posted by: Max at December 10, 2005 2:54 AM
OMG she wrote three letters? Please let it be so! It will mean she is alive. I also hope she is well. If this is true then they should make those letters public very soon. It might clear names (or could lead to arrests and charges either in Aruba/Holland or the US).
Posted by: Also_Dutch at December 10, 2005 3:31 AM
Once again, never ever a dull moment.
If in fact she wrote three letters she sure knew who to send them to, didn't she.
Well, let's hope she is alive, albeit moritifed, but alive nevertheless. Wouldn't that be the best Christmas present for all of us?

I've watched Beth Twitty, Jug Twitty and Dave Holloway on television interviews, like most of you have here as well, for 6 months now. Now before you call me flippant over what I'm about to say, let me tell you I have tenure here. I'm a father of 2 grown children, I've met thousands of people throughout my 25 years of being self employed. Before my wife died, we had a large circle of married friends with children. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I may be alot like you, whoever you may be here.
Getting back to watching this trio's behaviour on national television for 6 months, Beth Twitty has always struck me as being somewhat attractive for a middle aged woman, but I look into people's eyes before I even look at their face. I always have. Beyond Beth Twitty's clothes and hair etc I have always seen some ugliness, unhappiness and some instability. I've compared her to my own mother, rest her soul, who was not only attractive but had a wonderful shine from the inside which nobody could ignore. Even though we were a middle class family when I grew up, we had hardships. I won't go into details. My point here is that when a few things got really rough, she never changed. My mother was like a finely crafted guitar that never went out of tune.
I've come to my conclusions about Beth Twitty as a mother. To me, personally, she appears very self absorbed, very overbearing (this is so obvious, I need not even mention it), arrogant and very, very selfish. For the interest in this case, I've imagined being married to Beth Twitty and having her as a partner in raising my two children. I have to be honest. If I had met Beth Twitty say 25 years ago, when I got married, I would have to say the only thing that would have attracted me to her would be her looks. I fail to see anything genuine about this woman. I know she's lost her daughter. I lost my wife to cancer 7 years ago. I only became ugly upon myself. I subconsciously tried to destroy myself. I never took this out on anyone else. Anyway ... I look at everything I've seen about Beth Twitty (I'm disregarding what she is doing in these tv appearances .. I'm simply looking at her as a woman and mother) and I wouldn't want her as a wife or to be the mother of my children.
Jug Twitty to me looks, for a man, very insecure. I don't know why. This is for him to know. But I have learned through life and meeting certain types of people, that insecurity can make alot of people, especially men, very angry in certain situations. I've known insecure fathers, I've had them as friends, and some of them have mentally abused their wives and children. One in particular physically abused his family and was aressted by the police and charged by his wife.
You can call me anything you want here ... this is all leading to a point. And as I stated upstairs, I do have a right to make personal observations about certain people I see on television. I'm not accusing anyone here of anything. I'm not calling them "undesirable". I'm simply stating my personal thoughts on what I see.
Dave Holloway, to me, seems like a fairly calm person, but in a very tough and hidden way. For anyone who's been in love with somone for a long period of time and been happy and have never had one simple reason to ever think about divorce, I don't need to tell YOU why Dave and Beth are divorced. For those of you who haven't experienced this, it's simple: A daily power struggle. I don't want to be hard on this man, and I don't think it's against the law for me to state that this man looks like he could very well be a southern redneck away from the camera, but this is what I see from my experience.
Ok, call ME what you want now. Call me an idiot. Call me whatever. It's your right. I told you this was leading up to a point though, didn't I? I'm not doing this to waste my time. Or yours. I hope.
I've followed this disappearance from the start. Most of what I've learned, unfortunately, has been through the US media. Don't get me wrong. I'm Canadian, but I despise ALL media equally. What I'm saying is, I wish I could have learned more about this case through the Aruban media. So because of this, I've always kept an open mind about what I've seen and read regarding this disappearance. Here is my point about the perhaps "seemingly reckless" observations I have made of Natalee Holloway's parents. I've always thought that there was foul play attached to this disappearance. This could very well be true. I have never persecuted anyone in this case. It's not my job. I'll feel free to persecute people's actions that I personally see, even on television. I could publically persecute these kids for lying to the police in June, but what would be the point, there are too many two brain-celled individuals (one for the eyes, one for the fingers on the keyboard) that are willing to makes asses of themselves calling people murderers and rapists without any proof to do it for me. At the most, I could call these kids liars. This surely isn't the first time that guilty or innocent people have lied to the police, is it.
Back to my point. I've always suspected foul play of some sort with this case ... until recently. Lately, I've tried on occaison to really try and imagine what Natalee Holloway's life has been like since she was born. As I mentioned previously, my perception of Beth's first marriage is push and shove ... a power struggle between two people. This is tough on children. I have no idea when they were married or when they were divorced or who divorced who. It's irrelevant. What rubbed off on the first marriage stained two children. I don't know when Jug came into the picture, but here is a second father. I know from personal experience with friends who've re-married that it's very very tough on children accepting a new parent in the home. And as I said, my personal perception of Jug in this marriage is a rocky one. He appears to be insecure. First impressions are important, and this is what I first thought when I saw him interviewed. I still do.
We haven't heard much about Natalee's personal life, except for what Beth has told us. I wonder what we would hear if some of her closest friends would fess up and tell the media what her personal life was REALLY like until she left for Aruba. If you want to know how a teenager really feels, don't ask her parents, ask her FRIENDS. We also haven't really heard much about Beth's personal life. Or Jug's for that matter. You know, the more you think of it, the private lives of Natalee Holloway, Beth and Jug Twitty almost seem to be a secret, don't they. The lives of the suspects, Paulus Van Der Sloot and his wife have been revealed to quite some extent in the last 6 months. But what do we really know about Natalee? Not much. What do we really know about he parents? Not much. Seems no-one they know in Birmingham like to talk about this family to the press. Why is this? Think about it. We really know nothing about the personal lives of these people, when in fact this knowledge could very well be helpful to the police if they perhaps think that this girl may have run away. Well ... I myself find it strange. I think the Aruban police do as well for the simple fact that they've attained some interest in interviewing Natalee's friends who were with her in Aruba. Something even stranger is the fact that Beth doesn't seem to quite like this idea ... she's made it publicly known in her own secretive and disarming way.
My personal view? Let me first say, as a father, I've always given my kids the freedom to express themselves. I've always talked to my children. While my wife was alive, the two of us put our children first. We let them have fun. We gave them freedom. The only arguments the kids ever saw between my wife and I were when I'd corner her and tell her what a beautiful wife and mother she was .
So what was Natalee Holloway's personal state of mind like a few weeks before she left for Aruba? Will we ever know? I sure as hell hope so. Just think, this pretty girl, who in my estimation lived her life with unhappy, overbearing and dictorial parents, wasn't as happy as Beth would have us think. And she had a trip to Aruba coming up. Just think of it. Does any of this sound relevant to this case in any way, shape or form? Haven't people picked on the Aruban police long enough for getting off on the wrong foot in June of this year with this case? Is there anyone else out there besides me that thinks it's high time the Aruban police should be more than allowed to investigate Natalee's personal life through interviews with certain people in Birmingham? The Twittys have tried to dictate this investigation from day one. I think it's high time the Aruban authorities stand up and make it a point to investigate the other side of the coin in this case. They have every right to. I for one, am sick and tired of seeing where this case stands right now. Cover-up. Corruption. These words first came from Beth Twitty's mouth. She never stops. It's time the shit flew from Birmingham so we can all see why I am no longer convinced that there was foul play in this disappearance.

Are you people nuts? Natalee has been swimming with the fishes since the night she disappeared. This "letter" is just another distraction so that the Arubans can go on with the smoke and mirrors and work on what really matters to them....tourism.

I am so sorry that you want to cling to your belief that this young woman is dead. I find it interesting how some of the most stubborn supporters or her family push the most horrendous scenarios for her demise. IMO, it almost seems that some want her dead because that would be the "easy way out" and the case would be over "neatly wrapped" from your and their perspective.
Jim, you sound like a lovely person. Sorry that you had to lose the "love of your life" but your kids need you so I'm glad that you are out of "self destruct" mode. What becomes blatantly obvious from you post is the fact that you have been fortunate enough to know "true love" and that is, IMO worth its weight in gold. Those of us who manage to find it and realize the treasure that we have know that those who don't want to or can't find it, don't even have a clue with what is going on with us. It is sort of like being a part of a secret society, if you will. It is interesting, though, you really "know people".
I haven't "judged" the mother because I feel that she must be going through "a living hell" but you bring up valid points which have been discussed and argued on some of the boards "ad nasseum". Instead I've always tried to hone in on the young woman. To try and stay focused on finding her and the truth of what occurred that night.
As a positive human being, this revelation of a letter was a hopeful thought. Many are coming out to debunk it and say she is dead. They seem to have a need to have her dead and not alive. That is the scariest "fact" of all.
We can only hope that the letters are real, that they came from her, that she is obviously in some kind of "real emotional pain" and tht she needs all of our support and prayers.
Harry, you are doing a spectauclar job. It is wonderful to see how a few individuals, you and Dan Riehl too and Roger at scrux and the BHS guy could manage to keep this alive and bring new information to the table on a regular basis. You guys are certainly spectacular researchers but you also have postiive personalities, great minds and huge hearts. Thanks.

Who has access to paper and other articles that have "Natalee's DNA" on them. Viability of DNA on 90 day old paper - well if its blood or sera ok. If its skin - depends on how carefully the paper was kept and at what temp.
Who ? Most likely suspect would be family. The shrine in Mountain Brook.
Motivation for the hoax of letters :
1) Keep the story alive,
2) No prosecution will take place for a faked tape so why think a faked letter delivered to Aruba would be any different,
3) Fake letter from family with PVS as inferred "author" incriminates PVS and Aruba.
4) Could this be the shock and awe promised to devistate the Arubans.
Is this stuff on Reihls site the "confession" BHT has touted for so long without letting anyone see because it could harm the case.
Dan reihl has unnamed sources and unreadable confessions encrypted on Aruban letterheads and forms that any Twitty supporter (Jossy, MSM, etc.) that were actually in Aruba could have acquired for him and an agenda to keep his site in the forefront. A problem to him since he lost the Twitty sponsorship. He refuses to apply his own crtique of the MSM to his own antics.
As far as passports - why spend that much money. You can get a great fake from FL for $ 220 mailed to you.
There are a multitude of former US immigration employees who have web sites dedicated to getting documentation for illegals in the US to begin becoming citizens they are legal. All it takes to start is a Matricula Consular which can be purchased in Texas, California, New Mexico for about $35. Internet service is abt higher.
Dompig being sanctioned for media involvement goes right along with Dutch law. The practice as written is to not make statements to press. Also goes along with dictate from government to prosecutors to 1)Cease fighting with eachother, 2)Cease giving case information to media which was the cause of the infighting.

Well, Harry, you are the most consistant with this case so far. I seem to remember you were the first to call the runaway pregnant story -- where the rich boyfriend came and got her out of Aruba with his private jet and she will show up after the baby has been delivered.
Such insight! or you insighted someone to write a letter. Either way, it feels good to think she is alive and safe! Mahalo

Dear Gigi Ola:
Thank you for remembering my efforts on Dan Riehl's site. However, in fairness, my insights, at the time, came from listening to Aruban Detective Nicholaas and expounding upon his hunches. Also, as Jim Hanson above pointed out, I looked at Beth and Jug Twitty and compared them to Paulus and Anita van der Sloot (one of my Dan Riehl posts actually) and concluded the cause was a family problem. Additionally, Natalee Holloway gained a lot of weight in three weeks, contributing to my flight from stress scenario.
In essence, it was Aruban Detective Nicholaas who unraveled a runaway scenario in the first few days of the case.

You do not want to get caught with a fake passport. Selling an immigrant a fake passport is much different from an American citizen possessing a fake passport. As an American, if you intend to travel, clandestinely, you want to hold a real passport. Just imagine, for a second, where you would end up, if you had no real passport in your possession. Who would come to your aid (which consulate?)? Remember, we have embraced a post-911 mentality.

Jim your post is great. Many parents should at least try to find out what is happening maybe for us is nothing but for a kid is the end of the world. Maybe she was pregnant and could not find out the way to tell Beth and Jug, with Dave I really have the impression they got to see each other very seldom. In addition, I think that the FRIENDS did not support her very much.
Twitty /Holloways most of the time I saw them with fear that truth was going to pup any minute, so they were in a rush.
I have not seen Greta lately, I think the medium that was hire by Rita saw the wrong crystal ball, and MAYBE the letters were in the mail.

Jim: Thanks for your post, very insightful. IMHO I picture Jug as the possible 'southern redneck' not Dave, but then all I have are TV impressions.
I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of Beth. I think she would be extremely tough to live with on a day-to-day basis.
I can't wait to hear if the DNA and fingerprints check out on the letter. I certainly hope Natalee is alive and safe somewhere. If she is I'm sure she is terribly embarrassed by how 'blow up' this whole thing has become.
Thanks Harry and if you find any sites where there is documentation regarding the authenticity of the letter(s), please post. Thanks again for a great site. moey

You would need to read the Dan Riehl Archives commencing from June 2005 on Natalee Holloway. I only posted there about one month.

Inspector Adolpho Richardson will meet with Alabama Congressman Spencer Bachus and brief the case with him.
Two new leads have been aired. A sneaker with blood in it has been determined to be without merit. A letter received by Paulus van der Sloot has been sent to Holland in which Natalee Holloway, the alleged author, claims to have runaway and is/was pregnant.
The Vanity Fair article is deemed to be the first honest piece of journalism published about the early days of the investigation. Police Chief Dompig's candor in the article has rubbed Arubans the wrong way.
Posted by: harry at December 10, 2005 4:10 PM
A passport obtained with a Matricula Consular is US legal. This is just one of the many backdoors left open in a post 911 US. The former employees of US immigtaion are actually very scrupulous to follow US law but Mexican Government sells matricula on its web site. They require an address and a name from Mexico. Juan Valdez and Tiajuana would work. They also require money.
The point is to get back in the US under a different identity - at least for a supposed alive Natalee Holloway. A passport going out of US is easy and not investigated. Coming in to US is suspect. Various post 9 11 and pre 9 11 treatys make the issuing government responsible for validity of passport. There is a list now that US does not trust.
The problem here would be paying someone to apply the proper stamps to passpot in second identity that prooves you entered Aruba (or where ever) initially. A customs person would act really strangley about a passport with no documentation of ports of call coming back into US. Then out you go to US via Mexico. With a matricula and a hair color change you are is essence a Mexican citizen who is in application for US citizenship.
Now if you pass Mexican border in most of Texas there is nobody looking. A lot of the best mules come from south america.
The logic for this runs just as well as rest of case.
Look at the group that BHT has collected as friends - a tobacco narco newspaper publisher, a petty criminal that inherited money and acts like a SNL mafia imitation, a former cop turned to fraud, a host of MSM with "unnamed sourcess".
Could it be that experience and relationship helped her daughter to pull it off.
Natalee might have the moxey but the connections are a stretch. Her immediate family are not known to be world travelers but Jugs brother at AmSouth is a frequent traveler to banks in carib as well as corresponder. The source of the fake papers might be via her step uncles contacts and the source of the problem she wants to dispose of might be her cousin.
Thsis is nasty I know. But in the little world where appearance is all it fits.
An aside. For all those who dispargae Alabama let Harry inform you of the location of many of the newest drug discoveries. UAB. Also known as University of Alabama in Birmingham. World wide accolades. Also of note Biocryst a Birmingham firm is the only comapny in world with a vaccine that is actualy specific to H5N1 - is in trials and claimed to be effective in Chinese trials. They ai't all Twits you all.

(Hitler's Sister's daughter) That was one of Julia Renfro slandering of Hollowats
Posted by: Allan Kluttz at December 10, 2005 5:38 PM
Matricula Consular works! Actually, I had never heard of this document. Natalee speaks Spanish. With her hair dyed, she could pull it off, provided that she crossed the border into the USA, before she got too pregnant. A sailboat ride to Port Limon, Costa Rica or even Cancun, Mexico would set the stage for her entry into the USA via Mexico.
I do not believe that this was an elaborate scheme. To me, after perusing all the options, I suspect Natalee acted mainly within a very select group with the assistance of a few Arubans. Of course, the scenario would flow smoother, if the father of her alleged child were someone of substance ... or the son of someone of substance.
Wherever Natalee is residing, I suspect it is with close relatives of the child's father. I suspect this will become too embarrassing for Governor Huckabee of Arkansas, if it turns out that Natalee is hiding within his state. I would suspect Texas or Louisiana. Natalee and her accomplices may have taken advantage of the Katrina confusion in order to meld within the horde of New Orleans refugees and relocate. I vote for Baton Rouge, LA or Houston, TX.
Posted by: harry at December 10, 2005 5:39 PM
Dear Allan Kluttz:
The Hitler's Sister's daughter phrase to which I referred was spoken by Joran van der Sloot to the Current Affairs reporter in the Netherlands. Joran stated how Natalee described her mother in those words.
Whether Julia Renfro used this phrase or not, I have no idea.
Posted by: harry at December 10, 2005 5:48 PM
Is is possible she was running away from the father of her baby! humm
Posted by: Gigi Ola at December 10, 2005 5:53 PM
I guess Alan Kluttz is part of the tactical team that has been working on making up fallacies and malicious rumors about anyone that knows anything about the truth in this case. I would imagine since Julia Renfro was there for the family in the beginning, she probably has a lot of details that the rest of us don't know, so by Alan discrediting her -- he tries to make her not reputable. Didn't work Alan, she was there and unless you are a Twitty or Aruban, you weren't there.
The first time the Nazi thing came out was Joran.
Posted by: Gigi Ola at December 10, 2005 6:03 PM
Harry, I am hoping the letter is legitimate. I can't help wondering, though, if it is, why would Paulus have waited until now to turn it over?
Posted by: np at December 10, 2005 8:01 PM
Dear Gigi Ola:
If this letter proves authentic, then I suspect Natalee wanted to have her baby. She may really have loved the baby's father. Or, she may have desired to love someone for a change in her life. Given the way her mother, Beth Twitty, has described Natalee, I do not believe Natalee would have been allowed to keep the baby. Beth would have demansed that Natalee attend medical school. Unfortunately, Beth's aspirations for Natalee did not leave room for this alleged pregnancy. Natalee ran away to protect her baby from someone whom she felt would take it away from her.
Of course, you could be right. That someone could have been the father of the child. But, I suspect, Beth Twitty would have been an overwhelming threat to Natalee's unborn child. Accordingly, I believe that it follows that the only way Natalee felt she could have protected her baby was to have it, before she had to divulge it to her mother. Also, if Natalee were running away from the baby's father, I feel the other Mountain Brook kids who knew (undoubtedly Frances Byrd knew) would have divulged this information earlier on.
Natalee wanted her baby. Now, of course, we will need to reevaluate Joran's participation in all this, if he even was aware. In a strange sort of way, like I posted earlier (June 2005) on Dan Riehl's site, Joran's stubbornness during months of interrogation and incarceration could have been under a sense of honor. We could be experiencing a most lovely ending for Christmas!
Posted by: harry at December 10, 2005 8:09 PM
Supposed this letters are verified they are from Natalee,
I am asking myself; If I have to hide something, I am not going to stay in the place I hid it, because…. Maybe, this is the case : Natalee is at home with Jug the brother and Beth making noise in all the States: maybe a reason for Beth to get so uncomfortable and evasive when they ask her about MB.
This way, Natalee is able to be around at least indoor and no cameras around.
Beth, showed in the all the TV showed a room that could be hers but moved in the meanwhile. If she needs an Obs. they can have him, the baby can be born at home, and they do not have to report that to the Government.
Remember medjet? And then it was a private jet from the friends. Never saw that someone checked those before departure.
Now is my turn to speculate.
Posted by: antoinette at December 10, 2005 8:43 PM
IMO, Natalee's behaviour during the trip is not quite consistent with a woman badly wanting to keep a baby ...
Posted by: George at December 10, 2005 9:21 PM
If Natalee is a runaway, then I suspect Beth Twitty knows nothing about this baby. This would be a horrible scenario if Beth Twitty was involved somehow in the cover-up of Natalee's pregnancy. Remember, Aruban residents were incarcerated and defamed internationally over Natalee's absence. Despite all the negative comments that have been directed at Beth Twitty, I doubt she could have stooped to something this evil.
Posted by: harry at December 10, 2005 9:22 PM
Natalee's behavior during the Aruba trip, as reported recently by Police Chief Dompig, seems more associated with a teenager casting her fate to the wind. She realized that she is in a predicament with no happy ending. She decides to enjoy what time in her life she has left, before she is shackled to a life of motherhood or an embarrassing abortion.
I believe that Natalee made the determination to have the baby or an abortion while on vacation to Aruba. Some well-intentioned Arubans may have offered her good counsel. From that good counsel and presumably some escape-assistance, Natalee made the decision that she did. It has been six months, since she disappeared. Given her unexplained weight gain in the three weeks prior to her trip to Aruba, I suspect that she may have been some four to five months pregnant. Add four months and one month to recover from childbirth, and here we are in the fall of 2005. The letter, I suspect, was sent after the birth of her child.
If this becomes the scenario of Natalee's disappearance, I believe the pro-life proponents have discovered a poster girl in Natalee.

"...If this becomes the scenario of Natalee's disappearance, I believe the pro-life proponents have discovered a poster girl in Natalee..."
Boy, Harry, if you are correct, there won't be enough purple Kool-Aid in America to meet the demand.
The Religious right, who smeared all that is Aruban for the damage done to the virgin Natalee, will now have to attack themselves because of the presumption that Saint Beth may have a hidden abortion bent.
Govn'r Bob will love this one; it's a guaranteed lose/lose for him.

Harry, it is refreshing to read another whose views and reasoning are so close to what my own have been over the months. Views that have gotten me banned from other forums months ago, only now to come closer to an ounce of validation. You articulate the possible validity of this new evidence so well, I commend you. You have done a fine job representing how it fits into the rest of the puzzle that has awaited completion. My style is to ask myself, what other piece of the puzzle does not fit if we add in this new piece? Can you think of one, because I cannot...Good work Harry!
Posted by: bvctrtc at December 11, 2005 1:30 AM
Harry, I think Beth would have known about the pregnancy because she has tried so hard to keep the MB kids quiet and the reason is because they also knew of Natalee's situation. Also, Beth's insistence that Natalee was a virgin is another way to dispute that Natalee could be pregnant. I suspect the father is not of a racial type desired by an all white, southern, Protestant community and that Beth disapproved of the baby and likely demanded Natalee get an abortion so she could take advantage of her university scholarship instead. I also suspect Beth did not care at all what Natalee wanted, and if Beth could impose her will upon anyone as she tries to impose it upon the Arubans, she felt entitled to impose that will upon her own child and did so constantly from the day Natalee was born. Now, I may be wrong in my suspicions, but if anyone can enlighten me, I bet it is you.
Posted by: bvctrtc at December 11, 2005 1:48 AM
I have entertained that pregnancy notion too. However, I would find it difficult to believe that her pregnancy was as far along as you posted. Particularly because I believe no one else knew thereby not too obvious yet, and the alledged 'belly' shots that Natalee may have participated in, not likely to risk her showing off her belly like that if too far along in pregnancy. The other thing about whether if she is pregnant, it is hard to believe that she would be drinking. I have thought that perhaps she was pregnant and sought an abortion that Monday or Tuesday, thus would have drank without concern of baby, and that medjet came to pick uo Natalee after a 'botched' abortion, but she died and those involved with the abortion got rid of her body. Parents never knew where she was, the initial contact only said urgent need come get her sort of thing, then they didn't follow through with exchange of Natalee because she died and they disposed of her body. I know this is an out there story, but so many theories are!
Posted by: Isanah at December 11, 2005 3:05 AM
Well Dan Riehl has done it again. Several of his posters were questioning where the mother was and at what time the phone call about the daughter was recieved. It must have bothered him too so he found out, I will just post the link.
Harry, this place is in Arkansas. The same place where the letter is said to be postmarked.
Posted by: Little Bo Peep at December 11, 2005 3:21 AM
Natalee may have been under severe intense duress if some alleged letter has been recieved. Why would Paulus van der Sloot of all people been the only recipient? That one smells such that I detect the odor here from the USA with the alleged letter being in Aruba.
Someone may have had a gun to her head. She may have been forcibly injected with drugs. She might have been threatened with threats being made to her and against her family.
Consider the dynamics of a "family relationship". Natalee, her biological dad, her step-dad, her mother. They are all pursuing finding their daughter, Natalee.
If there'd been trouble in the family, such that Natalee would have wanted to run away, it'd have been evident in the parent's behavior. i.e., they wouldn't be pursuing this as intensely.
The pregnacy thing. Family would have dealt with that headon. Beth Twitty appears to be a very strong willed independent woman. If NH were in that state they would have dealt with it as opposed to allowing the past ordeal to have taken place.
Posted by: dr_usa_23 at December 11, 2005 11:32 AM
Apparently Paulus was NOT the only one to receive a letter, IF this rumor of a letter(s) is true. Apparently 3 were sent out. One to Paulus, ONE to the police in Aruba, and one to her Mother.
As for the family pursuing to FIND Natalee, I think in part her FATHER was only the true person to intently do any type of "searches". Beth Twitty's only intention was to seeing that 3 young men, were charged, and convicted, and went on a full propoganda media blitz to do JUST that. IF she was INTENTLY searching for her daughter, SHE would be on that ISLAND to this day, helping the officials to search for her. And not worrying about keeping the story "alive" by being on U.S TV every night, or traveling to Philly, L.A., Georgia, NYC, and Seattle.
Tell me, would you just give up after 2 weeks after your daugher disappeared, and bury her in your heart? Or w/o any body found, would YOU still have HOPE, that she is somewhere, anywhere? How about leaving an island, 2.5 months later, the place where your daughter went missing from? Or would you remain there, and keep the search? Keep working with the authorities, not against them, in helping to find out what happened?
Posted by: Donna at December 11, 2005 12:40 PM
My daughter was killed 3 years ago, and I have still not buried her in my heart. I still turn corners expecting to see her, still pick up the phone expecting it to be her, still walk down the street and see someone with hair like hers and start to call out her name. No, I'm not crazy, just still feel her presence. I was at the funeral, saw the casket, but in my heart she is alive. I have not buried her in my heart.
I'm sorry, but I have to say I agree with others who say that Beth seems all about Beth, not Natalee. She seems to really enjoy the limelight.
Posted by: mollie at December 11, 2005 1:39 PM
Donna, I agree, if Natalee's dead body is on or near that island, I doubt we would have a boycott. When people die, we visit their graves in a cemetary. We do not care that they are no longer alive, we go visit them anyway. How can anyone go visit Natalee's grave while there is a boycott in place? Whoever came up with the idea of the boycott - I am assigning it to Beth - knows Natalee has no body anywhere near that island.

Dear Little Bo Peep:
If the letter, allegedly from Natalee, is postmarked from the same city in Arkansas in which Beth Twitty received the first phone call from the chaperone, then I believe we have to assume that a scam has been underway. The question now is to determine all the culprits.
I now revisit my hoodwink theory in which Natalee Holloway escaped Aruba on precisely the same jet that brought Beth Twitty and the posse to Aruba. That theory now advances to center stage.
Natalee's weight gain could have occurred as a result of stress emanating from anxiety of her upcoming role in the scam.
Thank you posting to link to Dan's site.

Harry has created a nice group of regular posters. I feel at home here. I just want you to know that I am truly sorry for your great loss. I'm sure the other posters here read your post and felt the same. I bet your daughter was a wonderful kid and we know you miss her. It is nice to know, she is alive in your heart though.
Posted by: Little Bo Peep at December 11, 2005 3:31 PM
The first thing I thought of when I read that post was your theory. Wow. Center stage I think it is.
Posted by: Little Bo Peep at December 11, 2005 3:32 PM
It would be wonderful if this/these letters turn out to be genuine. Meanwhile we wait.
Not to break the thread here, and speaking of waiting, "Skeeter" was supposed to go to Aruba and clear up his mess regarding his original recording of Deepak Kalpoe. Where is he right now? Has anyone heard what he's doing? I would sure like to know. Have you heard anything Harry?
The FBI as well hasn't come forward to corroborate the original interview and the Dr Phil version. Does anyone here smell something as bad as an open two week old bag of garbage here? Or is it just me? We've all heard the Twitty rumours of a cover-up in Aruba. My question is this ... are we getting closer to seeing a cover-up concerning this interview with Deepak Kalpoe?
Posted by: Jim Hanson at December 11, 2005 4:03 PM
I feel that this alleged Natalee letter, coupled with the post on Dan Riehl's site that it was postmarked from the same location that Beth commenced her tirade against Aruba, is too much of a coincidence.
Natalee is alive (pregnant or not). Now, it appears that the entire case has moved to the United States: "who is involved in this conspiracy" is the new question.
With this letter, Dr. Phil McGraw and Jamie Skeeter take an even more evil aura.
Posted by: harry at December 11, 2005 5:08 PM
Little Bo Peep, thank you for your kind words. Yes, she was a good kid.
I'm sure Natalee is a good kid, too. I pray she is alive.
Posted by: mollie at December 11, 2005 6:10 PM
I have difficulty to find "the post on Dan Riehl's site that it was postmarked from the same location that Beth commenced her tirade against Aruba". I would very like to, since I find important to evaluate it in whole, perhaps talking to the poster (e.g. how does [s]he know). But even if it is confirmed that the letter postmarked in Hot Springs, I don't see that it "is too much of a coincidence" to suggest Natalee's participation in and Beth's premeditation of a scam.
Posted by: George at December 11, 2005 8:10 PM
Just because the letter was postmarked from Arkansas, it seems to me that that would not necessarily mean Natalee was IN Arkansas when the letter was written or mailed.
Posted by: np at December 11, 2005 8:30 PM
Well, I've heard it all now, no doubt from the
authors of the Star Ship Enterprise. Just
how insane and idiotic are we going to allow ourselves to become over this case. She's
kidnapped, raped, murdered or died of an over dose of alcohol and date rape drugs. Then, she is
sold into prostitution and porn movies. Now, we have her up to 7-9 months pregnant ready to deliver a baby or had an abortion in Aruba
and skipped out of sight for a spell. I thnk all of us need to get a life and take some Zoloft or
some other anti-depressant or some Valium and de-
stress ourselves of this trauma. These wildeyed speculations of letters to PVS, jetting away with her new rich boyfriend to live happily ever after away from her mean controlling mother is a
bit beyond the pale of reality dont you all think. happy 1938
