HarryTho 12/7 Natalee Holloway Update And Commentary
Topics: Natalee HollowayTonight, let's start with a couple of news items, and then go to our commentary.
From Amigoe, we have an imput from Larry King's show jumping on Dr. Phil:
Last night, a lawyer and a former district attorney condemned the media hype on the Natalee Holloway-case on Larry King on CNN. They talked about the Holloway-case in anticipation of tonight's broadcast, when Dr. Phil as well as private detective Jamie Skeeters is going to give an explanation on the videotape with a recording on Deepak Kalpoe.
Mark Geragos and Mary Fulginiti both agree that if it was their case, as lawyer and district attorney, they would have kicked Dr Phil off the case. They do not understand Dr Phil's involvement with this case. It is very irresponsible allowing suspects to speak and interfere so intense with a case like this. It is very bad when citizens meddle in an investigation. Very often, this damages the case as well as the evidence. They say that the media-attention has played into the defense of the suspects hands. "Suppose the OM wants to persecute the suspect. It is then very easy for the defense to say that the recordings have been tampered with. And that makes all the other evidence doubtful." They emphasize that it is revolting trying to impose the American system on ArubaWe can safely add to this that they are not alone in their failure to understand Dr. Phil's involvement with the Natalee Holloway case, unless it's for ratings and bravado.
Next, the day just wouldn't be complete without another call for a boycott, this time for Mississippi:
The father of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway would like Mississippi to join a travel boycott of Aruba to protest the way officials there have handled the disappearance of his daughter. Not much to add here, we've beat this horse to death already.Dave Holloway, a Meridian insurance agent, said he has called the governor's office to urge Gov. Haley Barbour to join Alabama Gov. Bob Riley and Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee in the travel boycott of the Dutch Caribbean island.
Holloway told The Meridian Star that residents of Mississippi can boycott Aruba without the governor's urging, but he would like to see Barbour support the effort.
Riley has said he's concerned because the Aruban investigation has produced no results in the case of Holloway, who was 18 when she disappeared during a high school graduation trip to the island in May.
For this evening's commentary, let's run through a death scam scenario. The death scam could be possible, and considering it is appropriate, in the case of Natalee's disappearance - we're simply looking into the scenario for consideration, here.
First of all, a death scam involves providing an insurance company a false claim, via a death certificate. In most countries, a death certificate can only issued by a health department of some sort. The name of the institution issuing the certificates may vary; however, they are under the cognizance of medical authorities. A certified doctor's signature, often only specialized doctors, can certify the death of a person.
The record of death generally is kept by an institution that maintains vital statistics for a territory. In many cases, this records institution is different from the health department that issues the death certificate. This separation enables a check-and-balance in effort to control fraudulent entries.
In the absence of a medical doctor's determination that a person is dead, it has been accepted that if a person fails to appear for a period of so many years (times vary from 5-7 years), a court may declare a person dead. It is a tedious process and a long wait; however, one needs be sure that a person is dead before proclaiming it so. The main reason is that upon the certified death of an individual an inheritance procedure initiates, eventually transferring all his/her assets to heirs.
How do we to circumvent the procedure? In order to make a claim as beneficiary or an heir, all that is needed is a death certificate. Presenting a false death certificate would soon be discovered by the insurance investigators. There are too many checks and balances in the records to skip a fake death past any insurance company. Accordingly, the procedure must hit all the wickets, so to speak.
For example: a claimant presenting a death certificate of person who allegedly died in a traffic accident would need the supporting documentation of a police report on the accident. The police report would detail the accident and mention any causalities. Also, the police report may contain mitigating circumstances that may or may not affect the claim. Did the person originate the accident in a suicide mode? Some carriers limit suicide to a less amount that the insurance policy's face value. Sometimes, it is a drastic reduction in the claim.
Insurance companies employ actuaries (bean counters) who calculate with considerable precision the probability of a person dying by a certain age. These calculation are used to provide insurance risks and premiums. When a person dies considerably sooner than the actuaries predict, the insurance company gets nervous and suspicious. One could say predicting a person's death is an exact science.
To be accurate, as a minimum, a certified doctor and an agent for the state need to confirm the death. If the death is accidental, then a police report is required, as well. Sometimes, if the death seems suspicious, like one causing concern for the insurance company, an autopsy will be performed by the state agency under the direction of the state official. I use the term state here to mean any oversight agency with cognizance over death.
Outside the United States, the death confirmation procedure is similar. Only names of the parties may be different. A check-and-balance system works to insure a death actually occurred. Believe it or not, it is hard to die without being noticed!
The death scam involves creating a fake death certificate. Within the United States, because of the rigorous check-and-balance system, it would be difficult to do. Too many persons get involved. Only the highest level of military involvement could cover up a death. So, the death scam moves overseas.
In foreign countries with a lax law enforcement and bureaucrats eager to improve their despicable financial situation, opportunities arise. However, an additional problem surfaces: entry permit. In order to die in a foreign country, you need to be inside the foreign country. Now, if you plan to remain in the foreign country, then you can circumvent explaining how you left the country after you died.
What I will relate to you is an active death scam scenario that I traced and reported upon. Third Word countries have set a scheme in which wealthy Americans (not limited to Americans) pay a sizable fee to bona fide agents of the foreign country in order to receive a death certificate. The death occurs within the boundaries of the foreign country and attested to by police. The death generally involves a gruesome street murder in which the body of the victim (client) is savagely destroyed beyond recognition, compelling cremation after identification. Identification is verified via the person's passport. Whether they supply or body or not is immaterial, they cremate something to produce the ashes. A doctor, in on the scam, certifies the person is dead, and the health department issues a death certificate. There is no autopsy, because the body was destroyed beyond recognition. The cause of death reported by the police is persuasive.
So far so good, except how did the person get out of the country? Although, it seems easy enough to pull off with a fake passport or allowing the person merely to exit. Since many individuals are involved, it would be an easy move. However, there are checks and balances built into movement of personnel for other reasons through a country's entry ports. Believe it or not, they actually keep track of personnel entering and leaving via approved entry points. If you go to the trouble to smuggle your way out that would be fine, as well ... except you would need another passport. How would you return to the USA or pass through any overseas checkpoint without a passport? Furthermore, it would be undesirable for you to remain in the country in question, because, for a large insurance claim, agents will be dispatched to search for you and confirm your death.
The Third World country death scammers employ bureaucrats within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to fake your entry into the country. Your USA passport, found at the scene of your alleged death, will contain an approved entry permit stamped into your visa section. You never entered the country, so you do not have to determine a way out of the country. Actually, the way it is done, you never have to leave the USA or your home country. You just need to move to another location. The conspiring parties at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will ascertain the documentation that you entered their country. Furthermore, they will document your arrival on their country's national airline.
Now, if you live in the USA, you will need to use your USA passport in order to travel to air terminal that services their national airline in order to register you as leaving the USA. Once at the convenient air terminal, you will exchange your USA passport for a new (well, used) passport of another country of origin. This scheme works better if you are a dual nationality passport holder. However, there are many countries in the world that sell passports, under temporary citizenship arrangements for economic reasons. Passports can be purchased as cheaply as $15,000.00 for five year terms.
A third option is to fly all the way to the foreign country's entry port and merely allow the Foreign Affairs personnel to take your passport though the entry port while you catch the next flight out of the entry port on your new passport and identity. Both methods work fine.
After you are secure in your new location and identity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs the US Embassy or Consulate on their soil of your demise. They provide the proper documentation to ascertain your death. The US Embassy or Consulate informs the proper vital statistic institution in your state of your demise and forwards all your appropriate data. A local (USA) official informs your family of your demise. Within a few days, your family files a claim for your life insurance. The insurance company may undergo a verification check; however, they will find all is in order. Even if they request passport check and an entry verification check via immigration, all will check out: You departed for that country, arrived and were killed.
The case I investigated, and exposed, involved a US $10 million insurance claim. The main culprit used his dual citizenship passports to effectuate the crime. I am unaware if he ever scored the insurance claim. What I did hear is that he traveled back to the country of his other passport, remained there a few years, then returned to the USA on a business visa. He rejoined his wife on the East Coast far away from the site of his conspiracy to defraud the insurance company. I suspect that he succeeded. After all, it is not like anyone is looking for him. He is dead!
As we mentioned leading into tonight's commentary, the death scam could be a possibility in Natalee's disappearance. Let's remember that her USA passport was found in her hotel room, and she gained 10% body weight in three weeks prior to her trip to Aruba. Unfortunately, the conspirators, if any, felt that disappearance alone would trigger the insurance claim. (They needed my advice!) Although, they did request a death certificate early on!
Greta of Fox News interviewed Dave Holloway.
Dave feels the Aruba police should take a course in Detective 101. He revisited the "How much money do you have?" comment from Jacobs. Dave did not make any conclusions as to what Jacobs meant by the comment. It does torment him. He feels at time that all this case could need is money. Dave denies hearing of the comment of any blood in a sneaker, until just lately. He discussed the blood in a car that turned out to be chocolate and cleaning fluid.
Dave Holloway is furious about the investigation. He has requested that the Governor of Mississippi join the boycott. The governor has not commented on the disappearance of Dave's daughter. Dave confides that he heard regardless of the authenticity of the tapes, they will not be used in the case. Well, of course, they were illegally obtained! Forget the forgery on them.
Dave felt that Police Chief Dompig wanted the FBI back in the case. Dave says the court allowed the FBI to view the evidence, yet they have not been given any evidence. Dave claims the Police Union is too powerful and is blocking the evidence going to the FBI. Dave calls the case a "Cold Case."
Tito Lacle reports that Paulus van der Sloot is back in court claiming tens of thousands of dollars in damages for wrongful arrest. Case will be heard on 10 December 2005 or the second week in January 2006. It is expected that Paulus will receive enough to pay his lawyers and to live. He will be able to apply for renewing his contract with the Government of Aruba.
Joran van der Sloot is due back next week and will remain for the holidays until the second week in January 2006 when he will return to college in Holland.
With that, we'll call it a night for our Natalee post, and as usual, I'll check back later to meet with some of you on the comments.

I don't know who or what HarryTho is or isn't, however, I do know that his commentary on this case is always fresh, interesting, thought provoking, relevant to the latest news breaks, and totally unbiased.
But, obviously, our Harry isn't saying what you want to hear.
So if you're looking for someone with "investigative journalist" credentials to tell you what you want to hear, you might check out what Geraldo has to say on this subject. Geraldo might be more your speed.

Dear Marleen & Shazzbot:
You both jumped into attack mode so quickly! Could this evening's post have touched upon the big secret of this case? I must share with you. If this was a death scam, it was not well thought out. The blue-eyed Dutchman declarations foiled the ill-conceived plan. The cahooters should have called upon Doctor Death.

Hi Harry,
Good commentary as usual, and it appears it may have hit a nerve, which means the truth may be coming back to bite some people in the backside. It appaars the Twitty/Holloway camp is now infiltrating the blogging community to try some damage control. At this point I don't believe it is going to help and the "Cat" is out of the bag, and their bag of tricks has been far too exposed, with all this false witnesses, false evidence the great tape fiasco, and now finally the exposure of the "Real Behavior" of the Twitty/Holloways in Aruba. Their credibility is far too questionable now for any reasonable person to continue to believe what they are putting out there. Their fifteen minutes is way over by now, and it is all down hill from here on in. In my opinion they are simply not believable anymore, and the more they appear on tv the deeper they bury themselves.

Hi Harry,
I have read your death-certificate theory over and over again. And I think it could be possible! I even think that Natalee could have left Aruba on a Dutch passport! Let me explain why.
About a couple of years ago there was a big scandal in The Netherlands. Criminals had found a way to obtain real passports on different names. They obtained the passports on the Dutch Antilles and/or Aruba (don't remember which Island). They sent an Antillian to the passport office to apply for a new passport. He/She would give a name and other details and photo's of another person. The people at the passport office didn't compare those photos with the actual person who applied for the passport (or at least they didn't check close enough). A couple of days later another person (the one in the photo's) would collect the new passport.
All this was discovered by an investigative journalist in The Netherlands and questions were asked in Parliament. The promissed stricter procedures, but sometimes old habits die slowely.
On another website someone photoshopped some photo's of Natalee. All he did was change the hair color and style just to show that it is easy for Natalee to "disappear" in a crowd!
So with a new hairstyle and a Dutch passport Natalee could have gone anywhere!
Question remains if Natalee could have entered the States on that passport, because of the strict rules since 9/11! Personal details have to be forwarded to the States prior to entering it and planes have been send back because possible terrorist were on board.
Anyway this is just a THEORY and will REMAIN a THEORY until proof is provided. Problem is that if Natalee is alive and in on the scam, where is she now? She cannot be in Mountain Brook because people would eventually have recognised her. She cannot be with Dave for the same reasons. So if alive she has to be somewhere. Even if she had some plastic surgery done, she has to stay away for a long while, because it would be strange for Beth and Dave to have a new 19 year old daughter!
And since Beth is doing everything to keep the story alive in the Media it is unlikely that she and Jug are planning to leave Mountain Brooke or Alabama.
To summerize:
1. it could have been possible for Natalee to abtain a Dutch passport
2. if Natalee is alive, but living under a different name, where is she? She cannot return to her home, because than the scam is over.
I hope that Natalee is alive, but somehow I am afraid she is not.
Again the above is just a theory but it has to be explored for it could be the truth or it could once and for all end the Insurance Scam Theory..

I have heard that it would be easy for Natalee to enter venezuela only on her Drivers License, and Birth Certificate.
Natalee could of gone herself and got a copy of her birth certificate, w/o her mother even knowing.
Also, she could of purchased ANOTHER passport, before going to Aruba...she turned 18 LAST oct (2004) so she could of been planning this for a long time.
If this lady is so smart, that she can get a FULL Scholarship to med school..then she is that smart to be able to pull something like this off.
Maybe she was using Joran as a smokescreen....that is why she was so determined to get him to take her somewhere..alone..get her away from her friends..she needed time away..to plan her escape. 6-8 hours..is along time...to be able to run. EVEN before anyone knew she was missing, she could of been on a boat (w/help) to Venezuela....
Listen if the RUNAWAY bride could of just taken off, with 140 dollars in money, cut her hair, disguised herself....rode a bus all the way across the US w/o ANYONE recognizing her...Natalee could of planned this for over a year.....
I don't think this was a last minute run away, I think Natalee planned this for a very long time!
I still say that is WHY the FBI, will not have her under their MISSING persons site, ONLY the site asking for INFORMATION...they might ALREADY know by her computer, that Natalee was in contact with others in either Aruba or Venezuela....OR was checking out different visas, etc..over in those countries..

after reading so much of this ''speculation'' i truly believe you folks are drinking the koolaid. whatever happened to critical thinking?..if mr tho says nextweek that this woman was abducted by a ufo will you believe it ? no! of course not..so why not start thinking that there is a possibility that this is simply another tragic case. as we all know from so many other cases in the media women and children DO get molested and murdered .

I would rule out the death scam. What inusrance company would offer a life insurance policy on an 18yr, with no family of her own, no mortgage, no debt to cover which is the reason for a life insurance policy. If most a company would only offer maybe $100K. If the Holloways are that hard up for cash, it's very sad.
I would keep the focus on JVS. He killed her when Nat denied having sex and dumped the body in the ocean...........
Posted by: Shivas at December 8, 2005 10:11 AM
@marleen,
In order to solve crimes even the LE-authorities use their imaginations and speculate. They do this in order to rule out certain possibilities. You got to remember that people trying to commit "the perfect crime" must have great abilities to imagine! Not only crimes, but great military operations are born from the imagination. Remember D-Day June 1944? From all points of view it was considered unlogical to attack those beaches. But they did and succeded.
Just the other day I read an article about a bank robbery somewhere in South-America (I believe). The robbers tooks weeks to dig a tunnel from one end of the street to another. The succeded because they planned far ahead.
An Insurance Scam like Harry described COULD be a possibility. You just have to plan far ahead and consider a lot of possibilities.
All you have to do is consider the options and then rule out or rule in the Insurance Scam.
Another reason for Beth and Jug to request a death certificate so early could be because they didn't trust the Aruban Authorities from the start. They were in a state of panic an began thinking of things that are important but were not so important at that time! On the other hand she has also stated that she burried Natalee in her mind after two weeks.
Another question I would like to ask in this case is: If someone took out life insurance for a large amount of money on Natalee, wouldn't that Insurance company by now have contacted the ALE and/or FBI? Insurance Companies usually don't like to pay off on their insurance policies, if they have the slightest doubt, you won't get your money. So it could be possible that an Insurance Company would have contacted the FBI or ALE just to let them know about the big life insurance policy?
I think that at least they should be factored in in this Theory,

Hi Harry,
Interesting read. Can always learn something new.
Also_Dutch provided some interesting information too.
I am really hoping that she is alive and well and enjoying her life somewhere blissfully unaware of the circus at home.
For those who want to assume that she is dead, I don't understand why there is no information from the people of the island about this. ON a packed island for the memorial day weekend, why didn't anyone see anything?
Posted by: Little Bo Peep at December 8, 2005 10:31 AM
Salut Monsieur Harry,
About the dead cert that they were asking for, I really doubt at this time they will obtain one, because: There are some witness, that confirmed that Beth received a call in the early stages of the investigation, no blood or any thing from her any place certifying that Natalee was murder. Dr Phil says Natalee is alive (good reference!!!), phone call received from Natalee in October according to Beth. I do not think Aruba Medical team will issue a dead Cert that easy. At least not will all of this circus. Imagine ALE is corrupt and then they will also accuse the Aruba Medical System..
IMO Twitty/Holloway should read your site before planning the next movement. I really thought that Dave could give Beth some advice about insurance policies. You are right if she suicide they wont get money, if the coroner wants to help the family, then the Coroner could state that she was depressed, do not think was the case. Murder???
Anyways I wish the Twitty/Holloways, good luck and a merry X-mas.

Hi Little Bo Peep,
People somehow make a choice about what they want to see. For instance if you see someone lying on the corner of the street only wearing a big overcoat, the majority of the passers by will describe they saw a homeless person sleeping. Very few stop take a better look and find out that what they see is not a homeless person but a murdered person.
If we were to look on an island full of people for a girl with long blond hair, we automatically disgard any girl/woman with a different hair color and/or short hair.
People generally don't wish to witness a crime even if it happpens in front of their own eyes. (This could have a lot of causes from shock to not wanting to make time or an effort to testify). That is why people can disappear in large crowds!
In The Netherlands (and probably in the US aswell) newspapers sometimes report that people have been found dead in their homes weeks or months after they died. Neighbours just don't care about each other anymore and only take action to complain about anoying smells! Sad but true. I live in an appartment building and I can barely put faces to the right doors and I don't know the names of my neighbours!

@ Death Scam
If there were a death scam, I doubt Natalie was a participant.
From day one, I have have been suspicious of Beth and Jug.
For one, it is apparent that Natalie has not "lived up" to Beth and Jug's (BJ) expectations. There was trouble between Natalie and Beth way prior to Aruba.
Secondly, my understanding is that Jug's son or son's were on the same trip to Aruba. It seems likely some report of Natalie's behavior would have been made to the Twittys.
What if some representative of the Twitty family were sent to Aruba during the MB vacation to trail/track Natalie (or even Jug's son). Could that explain their immediate identification of Joran and the Kalpoes?
The "tracker" may have been witness to Natalie's demise or departure. Could this explain the Twitty's certainty of her death or demise, and explain their immediate request for the death certificate?
Or, knowing Natalie was an southern, bible-belt, embarrassment to the family, could some confrontation have occurred that got out of control, ending in a travesty...creating a need to point the blame on someone else (conveniently Joran and the Kalpoes) and neccesitating the gigantic cover-up effort we see unfolding?
From day one, the Twitty's have been way to intent on hanging Joran and the Kalpoes with the crime. They don't seem to be open to any other theory, or any other culprits.
I don't believe initially there was a death scam. For this to have occured, I believe Natalie would have had to be involved. With the contentious relationship beteen Natalie and Beth, I doubt this would have occured.
I do belive the Twitty's may have taken advantage of the circumstance, opportunisticallly seizing on what occured, and took, and continue to take, full advantage of the situation.
This works even if one believes the theory that Natalie alone planned and carried out her own escape plan. If she were so intent in getting away from BJ, there is no way she would now expose herself to contradict the current events.
In any event, whether Natalie met a terrible fate ending in death, or whether she ran off with her "blue eyed" knight,or whether she was swept of to be some sex camp in a neiboring country, or whether she simply took flight from her 'loving' mother and step-dad, I believe the Twittys know.
And with this knowledge they are hell-bent on placing the blame for their curent predicament on someone other than themselves. And, if an opportunity to profit appears along the way, what the hell.

Harry, Have you ever emailed any of your many commentaries/theories to Dave Holloway?
Posted by: jewels at December 8, 2005 11:48 AM
From day one I've followed this. It's utterly amazing, from a psychological standpoint, to watch the various observations, alleged schemes, theories, blaming people, "who dunit", finger pointing, etc. Sometimes comical to "watch" people's minds being expressed into words.
Sadly 1000's of people go missing in the world everyday. Some are found and some are not.
GOD help them...........and the people responsible for their disappearance.

Re: dr_usa_23
It is true thousands of people go missing every day, and Natalie happens to be just one of them.
What makes this case different is not Natalie, but the activity and antics of her parents.
They have an ajenda. What it is, we're still attempting to discover.
One thing is certain, it's not just about finding Natalie, else they would be doing what it takes to cooperate with the Aruban investigators vice battling them.

Natalee more likely left Aruba on a Dutch container ship if she is alive.
If she is dead your Dutch paisano killed her,& his father an accomplice.
Why dont you jack up Joran, and collect the reward to further your education.
Harry how bout a round of golf at Pearl Country Club, my treat.I'm heading out to Makaha to catch some big ones this morning.
10 days to arrest the last ones seen with Natalee
They lie to police & get away with it.
15 days to collect evidence.
Sounds to me like favors being done by someone for someone, KJ for PVDS or Queen B for PVDS.
Joran states, that he was the last one with Natalee per Current Affair tape.
He also stated he lied to police & he did'nt think it is a crime & that someday he will tell exactly what happened.
He should be in jail already with that statement.
but lets wait the Dutch waiting game.
This case will never go to trail.
Cause the Cover-Up involves PEOPLE WITH POWER.
The Hague Is KJ's Boss, they run this case especially with Dutch citizens in forefront of GUILT.

What if she is pregnant? What if all of this is she has just gone off to avoid embarrassing her family? Maybe they knew? Jus a thought, everyone is throwing them out there. I hadn't thought of this until the weight gain was mentioned again. Could also explain all the drinking and "care-free" activity... She just didn't care anymore?

Dear Shazzbot:
Regrettably, your numbers are in error again. It is 2,000,000 million girls under the age of 15 trafficked into sex slavery each year worldwide. The cocaine trade, when it flourishes, enters Rotterdam. The primary port of cocaine export is Paramaribo, Suriname.
You could spend some time reviewing our blog, then you could discover all this information.
Lastly, I do not play golf!

Dear Donna:
You bring up a good point. Natalee at age 18 could apply for a ten-year passport. Under 18, persons are limited to 5-year passports in the USA. However, in order to obtain a new passport, you have to surrender your old passport first. It would entail a much larger conspiracy in order to have dual USA passports issued.
The stolen Dutch passport has merit. However, if this were well-planned out with say Mansur family involvement, Natalee could have been given a Venezuelan passport. She speaks Spanish, so she could travel easily all around Latin America.
I suspect that Dave Holloway, as an insurance agent, would not have been a party to this death scam, because he would have known better than to fake a death without a body.

Harry..
I think if there was a death scam..NOT even Natalee knew this. I don't even think Beth was in on it...either....
Also...Natalee could say that her passport had been stolen or lost. She might NOT need to surrender the other passport to get a new one! And who is to say, she couldn't of bought a FAKE one???? One with a whole new identity?? Maybe something with a spanish name??
I am still wondering about the rumor that the McWane jet was in Aruba, ON May May 29th
Then returned to Aruba on the 30th, with Beth, Jugs and the gang....
I want to KNOW, IF Jug Twitty had any type of life insurance on Natalee. He wouldn't committ..on TV, he kept dodging the question, calling it "absurd"...why NOT just SAY NO! NO I never purchased a LIFE INSURANCE POLICY on Natalee! Why dodge it? Beth of course comes out with "I" have never purchased a policy on Natalee, NOT "WE" as in her and Jug or her and DAVE....Dave finally gave it up that YES he has had a policy on Natalee, since she was a little girl, but it isn't much. OK, how much is a "little"? 10 grand, 20 grand? 50 grand?
I have a feeling the fbi and the aruban police ALREADY know this.........

Dear Donna:
I thought you knew. From the other blogs, early on, and comments from the chief prosecutor or police chief, the concern has always been about the US $100,000 or more life insurance policy on Natalee Holloway (at least six figures, as I recall. I do not recall the exact amount It could be as much as US $1 million.).
We have to be careful with the responses of the Twitty-Holloway camp. Jug, denying that he purchased the life insurance on Natalee, does not preclude Beth Twitty or others from obtaining the life insurance policy.
Take for example, just recently, Beth denies getting a phone call from Natalee about a blue-eyed Dutchman. Some research reveals that it was a close friend of Natalee who called her and told her about Natalee's love for a blue-eyed Dutchman. The Twitty-Holloways have been well coached in the elusiveness of language.

Harry

Harry the 700000 sex slaves per year is a global figure not into Amsterdam sorry for the misleading but Holland trafficks women & girls from 32 countries worldwide.
Holland is one of Europes cocaine suppliers,
South America-Aruba-Amsterdam.
Smoke on that for awhile.

Shazzbot, what difference does this make with this particular thread? Does it matter if Holland supplies cocaine anywhere? Does it matter if the US supplies cocaine throught the whole country from certain ports? It makes no difference whatsoever. Your so called "statistics" on sex trafficking in holland are irrelevant as well. In my estimation Shazzbott, YOU are irrelevant here period. Nothing you are saying anywhere on this blog has any relevance to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. In my opinion, you are simply trying to give us a very minute lesson in social studies with exaggerated facts.
Why not roll a doob and watch re-runs of Bewitched?
And by the way Shazzbott, have you googled "sex trafficking united states" yet? This sort of activity goes on all over the world, so stop attempting do discredit Holland with these "statistics" by making them look as if they are the only country on earth that participates in this activity.

Harry - A very interesting report here. It's a shame you work so hard and research your articles here when some people here miss the whole point and figure you are accusing the Twitty-Holloways of a death scam. You did nothing of the sort. What you DID report was another possibility of how NH could have disappeared. One poster replied that this article of yours is "fiction". Nothing of the sort. These things DO happen. Insurance companies are one of the biggest targets for easy money.
Great article Harry ... keep it up!
Posted by: Jim Hanson at December 8, 2005 4:19 PM
Harry, no insurance company will issue a $1m policy on an 18yr old unless your someone like Linsey Lohan. Nat is an average girl. Even if a policy was issued and is less than 2yrs old, the insurance company would fight to pay the face amount. Dave would know this and the policy is probaly not more than $50k.

Dear Shivas:
I admit not being well-versed in the insurance industry and its policies. Having said that, you may enjoy this evening's editorial. I believe that you will find it most interesting.

Harry:
I have read your columns many times, this is the first time I have made comments.
I think your disappearance 'theory' is pretty good. At first I really thought that the three boys plus some more savvy adults were involved in her demise, but at this point I am leaning more and more to the fact that she is alive and somewhere in South America or Europe; I don't think she is in the US. I have always thought it suspect that three young men could pull off a 'perfect' crime, I just don't think they are that sophisticated - even with the help of some adults. There is absolutely no forensic evidence giving clues as to what happened to this girl -- none, nada, nothing. As some people joke its almost as if aliens abducted her off on a space ship. I am very stumped!
One thing that Joran said when he was caught for the interview at college in Holland was something to the effect of "maybe someday I will tell the whole story, but not now." That to me indicates he knows more, but I don't think what he knows would shed more light on her demise, I think it would go in a totally different direction and not one that Beth would like to have plastered all over the news media.
This is all just speculation on my part as that is the only thing any of us have. Thanks for a great site.

Yea..just like those documents, Harry. One time Beth states she smuggled out 5 or 7 documents out of Aruba. Next those documents were given to her, by her attorneys, and then just last week, she states she only took notes from documents that were read to her. When pressed by Geraldo, if he could see those documents, she said OK....but she didn't have them on her at that point. Thats when I started looking at this lady, very closely, and what she says on different shows.
Why does this lady PERSIST in lying?
I just don't understand it? YOUR daughter is missing, and yet you get on TV and just LIE??
Also, and let me just ask it out there to anyone who wishes to answer..
I have heard so many people say, in various chat rooms..
WHAT IF THIS WAS YOUR DAUGHTER.
Ok...so this is were I will respond to that same ole flaming question that is brought up, anytime I question the Twitty/Holloway camp.
So here is MY answers:
1. IF my daughter didnt make it on a flight. My FIRST reaction would NOT be...."she was kidnapped". My reaction would be, "OH my daughter is hurt", "was in an accident". My first priority would be calling the police/hospitals on the island. If no report of my daughter was in the hospital or in an accident..I would give the police all the information they needed to begin a search for her...give them her description, etc or any type of marks on her body, etc. Share her name, birthdate, what color eyes, etc. So that THEY could begin a search. What I found out who she was with, where she was last at, and any other information deemed them to start an investigation RIGHT away. I would NOT go down there and immediately start "our own family investigation". People ARE trained to do this. I am a nurse..NOT a police investigator. I wouldn't expect someone come into a hospital and TREAT a patient...because THEY think they were well equipped to do so!
2. I would book a flight for me and my husband...to get down there,I would leave the "friends" at home...its not a party time vacation I am going on, it's more important to locate where my daughter is. Once down on the island, MY PRIORITY would be going STRAIGHT to the police dept. I would even STILL go to any hospital that is on the island, to make sure there wasn't a jane doe listed.
3. I would contact the people that were ON the trip..to see, what if WHO seen my daughter last, where she was, what she was wearing, and who she was with..I would have the POLICE talk to these people, on the phone, so they may of gotten a clearer picture of who..she was with.......
4. I would sit there and answer ANY question the police had of my daughter, whether I found them "embarrassing" or not..and TELL them the truth. The TRUTH is more important at THAT time, then trying to defend her honor or reputation. I would also tell them if there were ANY type of problems within our home, etc. I would also give them the numbers of her closest friends that I knew that had been on that trip, so they could be contacted BY the police to let them talk to them. Screw em.
5. I wouldn't just INSIST , I would DEMAND accounting of everyone on that trip, as to WHY, no one looked out after MY daughter. Why wasn't there a buddy system put into place, and ENFORCED, and why wasn't the older ADULTS looking out making sure EVERYONE was leaving WITH the students on that trip..not going off on their own with the other strangers. I wouldn't care if I had to upset the apple cart. THIS IS MY DAUGHTER!
6. Upon learning that my daughter was with 3 boys, and she left with them. I would ask for the POLICE to accompany me, to their houses. OF course Beth or Jugs, never went to the Kalopes home, ONLY Jorans...I would've wanted to go to both homes..to make sure that my daughter was NOT being held against her will...or maybe SHE was there hiding out.
7. I would contact all media that is in THAT area, radio, print, and TV. If I figured that the closer islands, like venezuela, had seperate radio, tv, print..I would contact them also, to try to get a reports on their about my daughter. I would be working with any and all MEDIA outlets in THAT area..NOT just in the U.S.
8. I would hang up missing flyers....with ONLY my daughters picture on them, her description, and a phone that went directly to the police or my cell phone! I wouldn't be putting her nicknames on it...I would use her name~
9. As for the Us media..I would have a spokesperson speaking for me.Probably our attorney, or a family member that I could TRUST. Although I wouldn't believe that the U.S media would do anything for me, in another country, perhaps someone vacationing in Aruba that returned to the U.S., might of seen something and seen my daughter etc.
10. I would keep it in the news, ONLY so much so, that anyone who would know anything regarding my daughters disappearance would/could have a tip of where she went. I would set up a 800 number/tip line. I would have someone set up a WEB PAGE, for the internet...but I will NOT open up a bank account, and go on TV whining I needed money!
11. I would stay on the island, and have my husband return to our home, so that HE could be working on gettign support for searches. I would be out combing that island with my bare hands, joining in searches. Greta could go fuck herself. I don't need sensationalism or to boost her ratings because MY tragedy, I could care less....I just want to work with the police and the island's people to help me find my daughter.
12. Hollywood could go screw themselves as well. I don't NEED Courtney Cox, butting in my private life...fundraisers would be the LAST thing on my mind....if my community, my family or friends choose to do fund raisers well that would be nice, but I would worry about my daughter, not about lining my pocket books, or fame.
13. My daughter was missing 6 months, 6 months is were I would be on the ISLAND that my daughter went missing. As long as her body wasn't found, I wouldn't give up looking, hoping and praying after just 2 weeks, and demanding a death certificate. No body, means just that..and until they show me a body, MY daughter is alive. I would NOT end my search after 2.5 months..and call it a day, so I could come home and MEET Dr. Phill. Or be on TV, every single day..and meet celebrities, or politicians, or collect donations...
12. IF I found myself not getting any answers from the police. I would NOT give them a 10 day ultimatum...I would be HIRING the BEST , the CREAM of the CROP, Private Investigator, and asking the police and this P.I to work together. I would never allow myself to be taken in by slime..people who didn't care about MY daughter, only attaching themselves to MY tragedy because THEY have an agenda of their own. Joe Felon could keep his money, I have to much respect/morals to take money from a low-life, wife abusing, raping S.O.B. like him. He would NEVER speak for me or my family!
13. I would NEVER divulge any information SHARED to me by the POLICE, EVER....I wouldn't want any harm to come to a case, by MY blabbing about so called evidence on TV. That is best left to the prosecutor to reveal at court, when and IF anyone is ever charged.
14. I would constantly be THANKING these people that have helped me...instead of coming off ungratefull that I might of had to pay for a taxi ride, or I might have to chip in a portion of a hotel bill...when SO much was being done to help me,given to me, for me or my family.
15. I would accept the fact, at some point that THERE may NEVER be any evidence that there was a crime against my daughter, but that would NOT mean I was giving up...folding it in....I would still continue to pray for answers, NOT demand them. I would NOT call the WHOLE country corrupt and ASK that THEY pay for my daughters dissapearance with their livlihoods, or hurt them at all, especially after they were so kind, generous to me, by calling for a boycott.
At some point I know that answers may never come, in this time..but ONLY in Gods time. I might NEVER know...but I would have the memories of MY child, I would have the love and support from my family, friends, my church community, etc...to help get me through....and I would want to grieve in private...not MAKE a spectacle out of my daughter...but maintain some privacy and dignity for her. NO one, and I mean NO one would see her bedroom, or to be talked about her virginity, or her private parts or what she would do or wouldn't do.....etc.
But ONE important FACT is...........I would NEVER EVER pay for MY 18 yr old DAUGHTER to go down on a 5 day "YOUNG ADULTS GO WILD" week, were I have ALREADY been warned that the young adults, drink, stay out all night, change rooms, sex and drugs galore, and NO restrictions are placed on them at all!
Then of course I hear.........Well what do you think happens at college universties?
My response is this. I do not pay HIGH tuition fees, to a college to ALLOW them to go and party all day all night, change dorm rooms to have sex, take drugs. And IF thats the case, their grades will suffer enough..and they will BE kicked out of school eventually..and then the FREE ride ends, and they will have to find a job and learn what it is like out in the REAL world!

Donna:
Absolutely right on! You so eloquently put in print the steps I think any parent would take in a similar situation.
Everyone has gotten so hung up on rumors and innuendo that they forget that there were many normal sequences of events that just never happened in the investigation.
The only thing I would add to your list is at the beginning I would have contacted the best qualified International Law attorney I could afford and have him oversee everything. Your post is very, very good. Thanks.

Was tonight one of those fill in's I've heard about?
"Jorans words:
Joran van der Sloot: One day, I will explain exactly what happened, but, right now, I don’t feel ready to do that. What a low life he is.

Harry, your commentary was great again, and so many well thought out great responses from most readers.
Moey, I could go with your speculations as well.
And for those of you that have a need to continually discredit Harry's writings, you may want to follow the Kool aid crowd to BFN forum or Scared Monkeys!
Posted by: i.perp at December 8, 2005 9:13 PM
Allen who is the low life? Do you think Joran would say that comment on international TV if he was guilty of having done anything untoward to Natalee?? I think not!!
What he may have to say will likely be quite a surprise to the Bethites! Following the hitler comments, it's likely he might say that he knew Natalee was trying to leave her dysfunctional mother and step-father!!!
Posted by: i.perp at December 8, 2005 9:18 PM
Donna, I am now exhausted after reading your dear diary entry. I am sorry for your loss...you obviously have lost a child since you know eactly what Beth should and should not be doing as the parent of a missing child!
Posted by: jewels at December 8, 2005 9:35 PM
Whether Donna lost a child or not, isn't important here! Donna made a lot of common sense, the type of sense that most NORMAL parents would follow.
Not the PUBLIC APPEARANCE type that Beth projects for sympathy and big money.
Donna, that was truly a great post!!

As a matter of fact jewels, I have lost a child. Did the post I made in any way, shape or form, state it was about YOU??? OR did it just hit a nerve? It must of, cause you had to act out irrationally, and make a BOLD statement as you did. Do you have anything better to do then to come to this site and RUN posters down for their OPINION? Do you really have ANYTHING else to contribute to this site, besides that? I didn't think so. Don't like, don't read.

Thanks chip....The all and out fallout, and complete meltdown I witnessed about Beth Twitty, just happened after Aruba stated they were turning their investigation on the Mountain Brook students and the Chaperones. Not to mention wanting to question the family regarding what I believe, evidence or information that might of been gathered right by our own FBI. That is when she went on her STRONGEST OFFENSE against Aruba, and calling for a boycott. IMO, BETH needs to BE right about Joran and the Kalope brothers over TRUTH and JUSTICE for Natalee. I personally think that the FBI, has learned MORE information, regarding Natalee, her home life,a Life Insurance policy, and that quite possibly there is a connection between Natalee's disappearance and one or some of those Mountain Brook Students...possibly one or more aided in helping Natalee disappear.

I Perp, Who decides "normal," Donna? Beth Twitty will never know "normal" again...she is having to redifine normal don't you think. And yes, all the viciousness towards Beth does hit a nerve with me!

Viciousness towards Beth, because I would do things differently? How is THAT viciousness towards Beth? I was STATING what I would or wouldn't do!
Because people QUESTION her antics, is NOT viciousness, its using THEIR own common sense........it's people that aren't swallowing HER kool-aid, and believe whatever comes out of her mouth is the GOSPEL truth, without her having to put up PROOF of her statements to ANYONE. She changes her "stories" between Grace, Greta, Geraldo, Abrams, all IN one EVENING. Or changes them according to WHO is asking her the questions...ONE week, she didnt talk to Joran the night she met him in front of his house, a couple weeks later, she puts on that YEA she did talk to him, and he was acting all tough with her. Statements like this, I will question whether she is telling the TRUTH! I will STILL question her because she has PUT herself out there TO be questioned.
When have YOU seen any OTHER mother of a missing child, ACT or BEHAVE as she has? Never.
And BTW, this case is NOT about BETH, it's about NATALEE.....that is where MY compassion lies. When I see this mother showing one ounce of GRIEF instead of GREED..then I'll change my attitude towards her.
Did you all read about the VIGIL last night in Alabama? Disgusting. They called a vigil for all missing persons in Alabama. They put out BOWLS for "love offerings" for ONLY JUG AND BETH.
Can you believe it? They call this whole vigil for parents/family/friends of missing loved ones in Alabama..but the MONEY collected was ONLY going for Beth and Jug!
of course Patsy Riley says that the Natalee case is a much higher crisis, because Natalee went missing in Aruba. HUH? So Beth and JUGSYs grief is more so, than say Tara's (15)family, who has been missing for a year in Alabama, and NOT in Aruba?? Unfreakinbelievable!
This vigil was a P.R stunt put on by the Govenor and his wife, in hopes of voters putting them back in the Govenor Mansion next november. And to get some BETTER press, because HIS call of a boycott, makes him look like an azz....

Jewels, your biased, childish thoughts belong on the Scared Monkeys blog. The 3 Stooges, Marx brothers and Beverly Hillbillies post over there. Just think dear, you'd fit right in. This blog is for people with open minds and life experience. Brainwashed schoolkids belong on Scared Monkeys. Their agenda is Pro Beth and Anti-Aruba. You'll see it in every article they write there.
I guarantee if you go do some reading there, you'll never come back to a common sense blog like this one.
