Young Muslim suspect spoke of martyrdom
Topics: War on TerrorAs news comes to light on the arrest of 17 men who are suspected of plotting a terrorist attack, it has been alleged that one of the 17, a 20 year old apprentice electrician was overheard speaking about becoming a martyr for the cause of jihad. This young suspect was a student of Abu Bakr, who was the leader of the terrorist cell that has been busted here in Australia.
I should add here, that the information regarding the potential terrorist activities of this group originally came from members within the Muslim community.
I believe that this is true because it has not been a secret that a terrorist cell existed here in Australia. At this present time the ABC is running a report on Abu Bakr who had invited reporters into his home earlier in the year to protest his innocence. He is a supporter of Osama Bin Laden, to the point that he denies that Bin Laden was involved in the September 11 attack.
