Profile: An Australian terrorist suspect

_40994946_abc_bakr203.jpegOne of the first things that I noticed about distinguishing the clerics involved in JIHAD or "(un)holy war", is that the so many of the Jihadist-type clerics(and many of their followers) more often than not - wear white, which is to me a bit ironic - the color of purity representing the darkness of terrorism. So it is no surprise that Abu Bakr, the Afghan imam, wears white (I know, bad case of stereotyping on my part, but couldn't resist the temptation). The BBC has provided a profile of Abu Bakr. Some of the things that you should know about this man is that he praises Osama Bin Laden. In fact he has gone on record as praising Bin Laden. But wait... there is more....

This is the same militant Muslim who has been making some very inflammatory statements against the state of Israel. His speeches overseas have been recorded by the Australian press, and some of those statements have been so radical that it is no surprise that he has been someone under surveillance for the past 18 months or so.

Bakr is said to be the leader of the two terror cells in Melbourne and Sydney. His lawyers claim that he has done nothing wrong. However, with the change in legislation his lawyers are going to have a very hard time proving that the Jihadi plot can be classified as doing nothing wrong.
