Paris enters 10th day of riots
Topics: War on TerrorThe riots in Paris have entered the 10th day and night with no let up in the fires and other activity.
Now, some of the residents are fighting back and two teenagers were handed over to police as they tried to set fire to vehicles. (It's about time the residents started to take stronger action).
At the same time thousands are joining in marches in Paris protesting the violence that has erupted in Paris.
The BBC continues to mention the comment made by the Minister for the Interior, that the people who began the riots are "scum". Even if the remark is seen to be offensive it is not justification for the riots and the fires that are happening in so many suburbs of Paris. There can be no justification at all for this upsurge in terror.
The French need to stop playing softball, it's time for hardball tactics that include curfews and arresting the troublemakers. And just as importantly, it's time to start deporting trouble makers back to their homelands. For those that are already French citizens, they need to be treated like any other arch terrorist.
And gee folks, it's time to assimilate, assimilate, assimilate - and shut the door on militant Islamism for the sake of Muslims and non-Muslims alike. If hatred and violence is preached - it should be treated as incitement to violence and terrorism.

Yahoo news has further information regarding the rioting in Paris. At this point it seems that the riots are continuing unabated. The French government seems to be losing its grip and has shown that it has the inability to deal with this very serious menace. The statistics so far as a result of this unrest and violence include the following:
- over 900 cars have been burned.
- one disabled woman has been seriously injured due to rioters setting her alight.
- buses have been trashed and burned.
- schools have been trashed and burned.
- the number of areas where there have been riots has increased from the north of paris to the German border.
There is no way that the French police were responsible for the deaths of those youths. I have seen this kind of reaction in the past. It happened here in Sydney when a youth died as he sped away from police (who were not chasing him). Just as that situation got out of hand rapidly because of the agitators, this situation is also rapidly getting out of hand. Yet, the French government remains mute in the face of the violence, unable to cope with the riots and unable to show any form of leadership in the face of an organised Intifada.
These riots have almost nothing to do with the deaths of those two youths. Their deaths have served as a catalyst for a bunch of anarchists to take their opportunity to cause as much disruption as possible to a major European country. Well France has brutally dealt with anarchists in the past, and it is time that the French government learned a lesson from the past and did something to stop the violence before we see another French Revolution. Only this time there will be no Liberty, but there will be subjugation. Or if they go back further and examine the methods of the Inquisitors who had to quell the townspeople who also wanted to rip apart the anarchists, they could also learn how best to deal with people who have no real interest in living within the current social order.
It would seem that perhaps this is the real issue here: a group of people who have very foreign ways are unable to assimilate into their adopted homeland. Instead of making the effort they have been content to live in a ghetto environment, and thus they begin to seethe because they have not achieved the better life that they longed to achieve when they left their homeland. If they are dissatisfied with their life in France then they should return to their homeland. They do not have the right to either impose their foreign ways on the French or to thumb their noses at the forces of law and order. They need to receive the full force of the law.
The lefties who are in charge in France do not seem to understand that they are a part of the problem that has erupted. They have lived so long in their version of Utopia that they have failed to see that this is a people who never had the ability to assimilate with the French. They have failed to see the danger of having so many Islamists clustered together, and they have failed to take action against the leaders of the mosques who have helped to incite the riots. How pathetic that French government ministers found it necessary to apologise because a few tear gas bombs lobbed inside a mosque. Talk about Dhimmi attitudes. The French government needs to wake up and recognize that it has achieved nothing by refusing to deal with the terrorists who have been living on the doorstep of Paris.
None of this is directed at the moderate Muslims who do in fact reside in peace within the western world, and who do not support the kind of actions that we are now witnessing in France. It is directed at the Islamofacists who are intent upon imposing their system upon the rest of the world.
