Osama bin Laden's Terms Of Surrender For The United States
Topics: Understanding IslamOsama bin Laden wants the United States to convert to Islam, ditch its constitution, abolish banks, jail homosexuals and sign the Kyoto treaty. (Oh yes, no drinks, no gambling, no pictures of women)
The first complete collection of the Osama bin Laden's statements published yesterday, portrays a world in which Islam's enemies will take the first steps towards salvation by embracing the "religion of all the Prophets" - Islam.
In other words, the U.S. must convert to Islam, or die! In bin Laden's world, a global conflict is under way between the umma, or Muslim community, and unbelievers - and that's everyone that doesn't embrace Islam. But this idea isn't new to Hyscience readers, having previously read of this aspect of the Islamic agenda in "Onward the Calphate," and our numerous other posts on the subject.
In the book, "Messages to the World," the Statements of Osama bin Laden are billed as the "first accurate compendium of the terrorist leader's words, threats and ruminations from 1994 to 2004." His terms for America's surrender first appeared after the September 2001 suicide attacks and include demands that amount to the total abandonment of western culture, society, and in general, life as we now know it.
Meanwhile, some Democratic leaders, as well as a few Republicans, want the U.S. to walk out of Iraq and simply hand the keys to a future base of operations for bin Laden and his ilk, from which they would derive tremendous facility for operations and incredibly far reaching propaganda, for recruiting and attacking the U.S. and the West. It would serve as yet another step in the direction of the establishment of bin Laden's dream, the Global Islamic Caliphate.
As many, including ourselves, have mentioned over the last few years, we are in a battle for Western Civiliazation, and life as we now know it. And with that, the freedoms we now enjoy to practice our faiths, or not at all, and to live our lives without submission to Islam and all that it entails, is at stake. What part of that do our friends on the left not understand? Or is it, that they simply don't care.
The sad thing is that many of us may find agreement with a few of bin Laden's points, in that we find that secularism has indeed gone a bit too far, not in it's tolerance or the better parts of it's inherently included multiculturalism, rather in it's lack of recognition for the importance of faith, and it's over emphasis on materialism and indulgances. However, few would go so far as to consider secularism and life in the West as being worthy of replacement with Islam, and all it's tenets, and give up what many of us believe to be the true religion within which we practice our faith in the One God, be it Christianity, Judism, Hinduism, or another.
Yet, who but a militant Islamist, would consider anyone that disagrees with them to be an infidel, a person that is indeed not innocent, simply because they are not a Muslim?
