Ken Mehlman gets it! Nows The Time To Expose The Dems Historical Revisionism
Topics: Political News and commentariesPaul, at Powerline, writes that "RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman spoke with bloggers this afternoon about this excellent web video (also mentioned in a previous post) that his committee is running in response to the revisionist history surrounding our decision to go to war in Iraq. "
He offers that as good as the video is, "it's going to take much more to counter the barrage of misrepresentations put forth by Democratic politicians (aided by their pals in the MSM), who are determined, simultaneously, to (a) slander the president, (b) excuse their cynical votes in favor of a war they probably didn't believe in, and (c) hand a victory to the terrorists."
He adds that "The Dems/MSM have never halted their permanent campaign against the president, and the only way to defeat that campaign is with an unrelenting counter-campaign. "
Although Paul qualifies his "call to arms" with "And not by bloggers," bloggers and blog readers can go a long way toward helping to dissiminate the message.
He says that "fortunately, it's clear that Ken Mehlman, at least, understands this." But so do we conservatives, so let's get on with it. Help pass this video link to every single person you know, and ask that they do the same. The time has come to fight back against the left's rewrite of history, and work at getting back into fight, that we thought was over when the Democrats were soundly defeated in the national election.
Since then, conservatives have sat back for too long, and allowed the Dems to take the art of revisionist history to new and astoundingly greater heights than ever before.
After all, one would think that the truth is as it is, the truth. Unfortunately, the Dems seem to be of the opinion that truth is what ever they say it is enough times that we'll forget the real truth, and begin to believe their versions of revised history.
