Cool ... I'm a Mayor
Topics: News Summary
At 18 years-old, Michael Sessions is a High School Senior from Hillsdale, Michigan. He is also the town's new Mayor, having beat incumbent Doug Ingles by two votes. He pledges to turn his room into an office (after cleaning it) and working after school and weekends to reach out to the community.
Sessions waged an energetic write-in campaign on a budget of $700 earned from a summer job.
"Obviously the people of Hillsdale took me seriously," the teenager said yesterday. "A lot of older people really enjoyed talking to me. I looked them in the eye. Young people could relate to me."
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann caught up with the young politician in the video below. Go get em Michael!

You figure at 18, he's still got good credit and no bones falling out of the closet. I can count the number of politicians that fit that description on one hand. No wonder he was elected.
Plus - who is going to take out negative TV ads against an 18 year old? This kid is on to something...
