Australia to retain ban on RU486

Topics: Abortion

Tony Abbott is the current federal Minister responsible for Health in Australia. He is a Catholic and he always considers the issues relating to abortion. He is set to retain the present ban on RU486.

However, he has some opposition from females within the Liberal Party as well as the totally irrelevant members of the Greens and Democrats, and the ALP. Once again we see that these women are incapable of thinking about anything other than "choice," even when it comes to such important issues. They seem to be blissfully unaware that RU486 is a killer, not just of the unborn, but also the mothers who have wrongfully decided to terminate their pregnancies.

There are two issues at stake here. One of the issues is the banning of importation of the drug such that it can only be imported if the Minister has personally signed for that importation. The totally irrelevant members of the Democrats and Greens want to introduce an amendment that will change this restriction.

One thing that worries me with regard to this report is that the president of the AMA seems to have totally disregarded the Hippocratic oath by supporting the removal of what is truly a very smart restriction against the importation of a deadly drug.
