Let's hope that we can accurately say that the gloves in Jordan are off and that members of the Al Qaeda network are going to have their days numbered. Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the bombings via the internet. Even if some have doubts about the perpetrators, the Jordanian government says that this bombing has all the hallmarks of Al Qaeda.

At the Radisson Hotel, the wedding guests have been left grieving for their dead relatives. Elsewhere I reported that the groom had lost his father, but in this report it is mentioned that the bride also lost her father. So, on what was to be a day of celebration, a bride and groom are grieving because their fathers have died as a result of an senseless act of violence on the part of militant Islamists.

For some reason I am reminded of the beginning of the Book of Job, where Job is afflicted by a series of bad news including the death of all his children as a result of an attack by the enemy. The action of the Al Qaeda network is like the action of those who killed the family of Job - senseless murderers.

Al Zarqawi is already a wanted man in Jordan. He was tried and found guilty in absentia for his role in previous bombings in Jordan. His fingerprints have been all over some recent attacks upon a US ship as well as other recent terrorist attacks. Al Zarqawi must think that at this point in time he is impervious to being captured, but I wonder whether he has underestimated the determination of the Jordanian authorities.

It's best here to let the bride and groom who have lost so many members of their family speak for those who want to get on with their lives in peace:

"We tried to save as many people as we could, but God took some."

"I lost my father and my father-in-law on my wedding night," he added. "The world has to know that this has nothing to do with Islam."

He is right - Islamofacism has nothing to do with the belief of the Muslims who do not believe in violence, and who do not seek to enslave the lives of others who have different beliefs than their own.
