A Satisfying End-of-Life Experience
Topics: Euthanasia advocacy"He was allowed to run a coffee shop only, but not advertisements for assisted suicide," asserted a concerned Cambodia provincial governor, Put Chandarith.
The story begins with an American expatriate and would be assisted suicide entrepreneur who offered to make arrangements for people to kill themselves in Cambodia. Roger Graham, 57, said he voluntarily shut the Web sites, which promoted Cambodia as a destination for foreigners to come for suicide.
"You are going to die anyway, so why not in Cambodia?" said one of the sites, which also offered a rationale for suicide and links to purchase books on the subject.
Cambodian authorities thankfully objected and are suing Graham for defamation.
