Bali Samaritan Rescues Youngest Victim: The Saving Of Jessica Fitzgerald
Topics: TerrorismAll too often when we hear of acts of terrorism we concentrate upon the more horrendous side of the story. However, there are always the stories that show how God works amongst the victims of such disasters. Such is the story of the rescue of Jessica Fitzgerald, the youngest Australian victim of this act of terror in Bali. Her 16 year old brother Brendan was the first of the Australians to be identified as amongst the dead. His injuries were horrific because he took most of the impact of the blast. Jessica was critically injured and the young woman in this story rushed with Jessica in her arms, to the nearest hospital. Jessica had a deep wound in her neck, but her rescuer managed to keep the girl conscious until she received medical attention.
