Making Money with Chitika eMiniMalls
Topics: Blogosphere
Over the past week you've probably noticed that we introduced a new type of advertisement, called Chitika's eMiniMalls, at Hyscience (see the end of this post for a live example). These are a new type of contextual and "intelligent" ads that integrate well into blogs. Publishers are paid for each "click" and the product shown is based upon the ad context (or keywords) and is adapted over time to display items most likely to be of interest to readers. This produces a more relevant ad and, consequently, more revenue.
Even better is that we have found Chitika ads to outperform Google Adsense. We are not making enough to retire (and if we did we certainly would not retire to Aruba), however, Chitika's eMiniMalls are currently bringing in enough revenue to pay for our bandwidth costs.
The best news for our blogging readers is that it is easy to sign up and integrate into your blog - click here for details.
Disclaimer: Hyscience is involved in a Chitika affiliate program and will benefit if you sign up as a result of reading this post. However, if we weren't sold on the program we wouldn't recommend it to our friends.
