Hariri Died, Assad Lied, And Kofi Covered It Up

Topics: International News

JAMES TARANTO writes in the WSJ.com Opinion Journal today that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad may become the first dictator to fall from power because U.N. functionaries are incompetent with computers (UN office doctored report on murder of Hariri). It turns out that the United Nations withheld some of the most damaging allegations against Syria in its report on the murder of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. In the "sanitized version," Bashar al-Assad, President of Syria, and other members of his inner circle, were dropped from the report that was sent to the Security Council.

Be sure to read all of Toranto's article, then read all of the "restored unexpurgated version."
