HarryTho Sunday Night Natalee Holloway Commentary and Update (Updated)

Topics: Natalee Holloway

It looks like Dan at Riehl World View is coming around to a "view" shared by us at Hyscience, and writes that for all the talk of Rather-Gate and now the recent inaccurate reporting around Hurricane Katrina, the largest fraud ever perpetuated by the MSM is likely to go un-noticed and unchallenged. The cost may be millions of dollars and possibly even lives, but most elite media watchers and even bloggers won't care because of the topic involved - the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. It's a good post and a worthy read - so be sure to read it!

Update: What Dan is writing is little different from what we have been advocating, though not as directly. The question is: why have they been dishonest? To me, the reason lies beyond ratings. Maybe the Aruba mess was a distraction for something else. That area is well-known for all kinds of criminal trafficking. Maybe the USA was probing those trafficking schemes and needed some camouflage. I find it difficult to fathom that all these conservative media companies were fabricating this story without some form of immunity. What Dan is revealing amounts to a media-disgrace for the USA. I have serious doubts concerning Nancy Grace and Joe Scarborough, but I am somewhat reserved about Bill O'Reilly along with Hannity and Colmbs. Greta of Fox News has had her moments. To me, Greta is just naive. She seems to display good legal sense. Geraldo, well, I don't need to comment on him.

There is more to this Aruba fiasco than lies.

In the way of catching up a little from our weekend lull, Ian at Political Teen posts that Tito Lacle says Joran's parents were upset over the Joran interview because they don't want to make any public appearances.

Lacle says people think the case is over since it's getting little media attention, but it's not. He says "it's far from over". Tito agrees that the media helped the case. Tito says Beth should stop bad mouthing Aruba (even though she hasn't) because it's hurting the case and Aruba.

Going back a bit to catch up from our weekend lull, let's revisit some reader comments along with my responses:

Earlier, a reader referred to some graphic information regarding Natalee's disappearance. "Apparently the "Graphic information" released was what kind of panties Natalee had on. If there is truth to the fact that she and everyone else was getting crazy at the bar, everyone saw them...booty dances are common at this particular chain and she was up on the bar. Obviously her mother saw pictures since she knew exactly what panties she had on that night. While some may defend that, I can attest that most women have a panty/bra ratio of 65 to 1...I cannot even tell you what I am wearing on any given day."

The reader has a point! How could Beth Twitty know what panties Natalee wore on the day she disappeared. She could not have, unless she viewed "expose" pictures of Natalee's last night at C&C?

The AP is backing off the story. The only remnant left is a piece on Natalee's consecration wall in Mountain Brook, AL being taken down for weather concerns.

Also, from Scared Monkeys came » » Diario: Philanthropist and powerful lawyer from America start a national campaign against Aruba.
The Dairio is up and running again. Their newspaper has heralded that Beth Twitty and her new Philadelphia cohorts have commenced a campaign against Aruba.

I have only read that Beth met with these people in order to assess their options.

Contrary to an earlier emailer's claims, from my research the owner of the Excelsior Casino is Michael Posner. Antonio Rivero's connection with the Excelsior Casino leads me to three other casinos: Harrah's St. Louis Casino in Maryland Heights, Missouri, Rio All-Suites Casino in Las Vegas, and Retama Park in Selma, Texas.

There does not seem to any lead to an Antonio Rivero in Aruba.

From an emailer:

If the documents that Beth has were never signed by jvds and were just made up by the police for interrogation purposes, where does the embroidered flower on the underwear come in? If the underwear is described in this detail and jvds had nothing to do with the description, is this proof that the Aruban police have handled Natalee's body? The Argentine government disposed of bodies that it never wanted found by throwing them out of planes over the South Atlantic.

If Joran didnt mention about Natalee's undergarments in his statement...then how did the statement get in there?
Someone had to know what she was wearing...underneath

I wouldnt put it past Aruban police to have disposed of Natalee. I always state that Aruban officials are directly involved in the disappearance. This is too clean to be done by rote amateur criminals. Even the most experienced of criminals leave tracks.

I responded by saying that Beth has been quoting from translated statements provided to her. It is unclear whether or not those "translated statements" were provided by Josie Mansur's police connections. Given the Twitty-Holloway camp's propensity to international press-ize the information that they receive, it is unlikely that those statements were released to her by normal police channels. Accordingly, we have to weigh the veracity of those "translated-statements" with other information that has been promoted by Josie Mansur and the Dairio newspaper sources. It is quite possible that a good deal of rhetorical license was incorporated into the translations.

The only "flower" undergarments that I am familiar with are those found near the Fisherman's Huts. Those undergarments were never associated with Natalee Holloway. The only description of Natalee's clothing that I ever heard of was her blouse and shorts ... maybe her flip-flops.

I doubt the Aruban authorities would get involved in a difficult cover-up. Taking an Argentine joyride would provide too many opportunities for discovery. For one thing, the pilot would have to be in on it. Argentina offers a huge military with black-op capabilities. Aruba could only dream of those capabilities.

Also from emailer:
I heard Beth mention that was her underwear. I also think if you find the lack of evidence to be the evidence, and as you said, it wouldn't have taken many cops to deal with this situation, it seems like a very good possibility. These cops are supposedly very well trained and without a trace?
My own recollection is that the underwear belonged to the daughter of a local judge. Once identified as such, it ceased to become a topic of interest.
The aspect of no witnesses could indicate that there were many witnesses, and they all participated in whatever happened to Natalee. Although, the "witnesses" may not have included any of the current suspects.

Concerning queries about Clint van Zandt and Karin Janssen:

Clint van Zandt works for MSNBC News, so his opinion should taken in the perspective that he is promoting their agenda. His FBI credentials are window-dressing for statements. I think Clint is competent, but this Aruba disappearance is way beyond his credentials.

Concerning the confusion about Joran and Natalee's meetings:

The problem everyone seems to be having with the day before meeting between Natalee and Joran seems to be a time issue of 24 hours. Did a 24-hour day pass before the two meetings: Excelsior Casino and C&C? As I understood the meetings, one took place during the day while the other took place after midninght. Yes, there were two days, if measure by international time zones where days change at midnight. However, in reality, people say meet me tonight and not tomorrow when arranging a clandestine, after-hours rendezvous. At least in the islands, they do.

A reader asked if I thought this will come out and even if they prove a cover up I wonder legally if that will mean anything to prosecute those responsible for the crime and not the cover up? I mean there would still be no body.

I feel that the cover-up will hold, if the superiors of the key conspirators are willing to allow it. All the superiors may not be privy to the ongoings due to plausible denial. The conspirators will keep the upper echelons protected. If the cover-up is compromised, then some of the conspirators will fall on their sword to protect their superiors and the other conspirators. This way, when their punishment comes to end, they will be rewarded for their loyalty.

Janssen is competent, she, like Clint, are out of their element here. That is why they look so inept. They really aren't.

One thing that some investigators have mentioned is the issue of multiple lying. From my experience, it would not be uncommon to have an entire community involved in a cover up. These small island nations are known for such behaviors. Joe Mammana hints at this problem in his strong warnings to Aruba.

Harry

I'm wondering why the US media seems to be totally ignoring the possible scenario of abduction and the sex slave trade business with regards to Natalee? It was briefly mentioned early June by US sources and now the cable channels (the only ones still covering this story, btw), seem to be stuck on the sidebar rumor and gossip and are not doing indepth reporting. Your blog and that of the Scared Monkeys & Riehl News seem to offer the most insight into this case. Of course most of us in the states put little faith in the biased reporting of "facts" Nancy Grace and much of Court TV provide but Fox News and MSNBC should be less inclined to introduce opinion with reporting of this or any story. Anyhow, I've been so disappointed in the reporting of this story and wanted your take on why you thought they were overlooking (or possibly purposely ignoring) the abduction angle. Thanks and keep up the good work! Kat

Or, unless she used logic. Joran knew that Natalee's panties had a flower embroidered on them. He could not have known that unless he saw them. Therefore she must have been wearing them that night.

wonder why nobody has questioned the bartender about his role in the holloway case? Seems obvious to me that he would be working with Vander Sloot. It's not the first time a mix meister has helped a buddy to sack a girl. And it's not Vander Sloot's first time either. It's a game they play at places like that. Truth be known some body's keeping score. Any number of girls on the island could testify to that. Amd another thing-why doesn't the U>S> state dept. put Aruba off limits to tourism?
