Glenn Reynolds picks up on the ongoing crusade to remove anything from Western society that might be offensive to Muslims:
A West Yorkshire head teacher has banned books containing stories about pigs from the classroom in case they offend Muslim children.To repeat my prior concerns, what about turkey bacon and ham or vegetarian pork chops? Then there is also the American football, made of leather, but called by its traditional name "the pigskin". Is it the pig that's offensive or any representation of it? For the sake of religious tolerance we need to know!
Unfortunately, while secularists worry about offending members of the "religion of peace" and push for an irrational and intellectually dishonest separation of church and state, an Islamic revolution of terrorism and tyranny is occurring that will be anything but tolerant of Christianity and the related ideals Westerners take for granted.
You see, piglet is deeply offensive and so's your chocolate ice-cream, but if a West End play opens with a gay Jesus, Christians just need to stop being so doctrinaire and uptight..
