Baghdad Al Gore Unleashed: If I Were President - 'We would not be routinely torturing people'
Topics: Political News and commentariesHas this man totally lost all sense of reality, patriotism, and common sense? Or has he simply re-invented himself, again, and has now emerged as Baghdad Al?
Former Vice President Al Gore said Wednesday he had no intention of ever running for president again, but he said the United States would be "a different country" if he had won the 2000 election, as he launched into a scathing diatribe against the Bush administration. Like Hanoi Jane Fonda before him, Gore has now become Baghdad Al. He appears to have no sense of how Islamists will use his anti-administration rhetoric to instigate anger and recruit jihadis that kill American forces, and apparently lacking any sense of reasonable prudence, exhibits behavior that is so bizarre and extreme, that it serves to do as much if not more damage to U.S. attempts to win the hearts and minds of moderate Muslims in the Middle East, as an al-Qaeda propaganda film on Aljazeera TV.
(...) I have absolutely no plans and no expectations of ever being a candidate again," Gore told reporters after giving a speech at an economic forum in Sweden.A spokesman for the Republican National Committee was a little kinder in his description of Gore's remarks, but came close:(...) When asked how the United States would have been different if he had become president, though, he had harsh criticism for Bush's policies.
(...) We would not have invaded a country that didn't attack us," he said, referring to Iraq. "We would not have taken money from the working families and given it to the most wealthy families."
(...) We would not be trying to control and intimidate the news media. We would not be routinely torturing people," Gore said. "We would be a different country.
Tracey Schmitt, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, called Gore's comments "fictitious rants that border on dangerous." "To accuse Americans of participating in 'routine torture' is absurd and reveals that while Al Gore may no longer be a leader in his party, he still embodies the maniacal anger that guides Democrat leaders in Washington today,"Borrowing from Tracey Schmitt's comments, we come up with an updated description of the "new" Al-Gore, who has now emerged as the character of "Baghdad Al," a carbon copy of Hanoi Jane, who embodies the maniacal anger of the far Left typical of Democratic leaders in Washington today, who acts in such a manner as to become so dangerously close to being a traitor to his country, that were it not for his obvious dementia and the fact that he happens to live in America, deserves to be locked up as a traitor to his country. However, sadly, he does live in America, we can't put him in a prison and through away the key, and there's no way to prevent our enemy from using Baghdad Al's ridiculous rhetoric to instigate hatred of America and recruit more terrorists to kill American troops. So, while most of us recognize that poor Baghdad Al has simply gone over the edge and has slipped into the mindset of a 2 year-old throwing tantrums over having his candy (Al never made it to the presidency) taken away from him, Al-Qaeda and anti-Americans world wide will make sure that his anti-American mindless rhetoric is repeated and broadcast throughout the world to discredit the country that allows Al-Gore the freedom to be Baghdad Al, or any other character, of many shown in the past, that Al Gore, now Baghdad Al, wishes to play.
