A Week In Iran Verses A Week In Israel: A change is long over due, and a change is coming.

Topics: Iran

Iran had a busy busy week:

Read about the rest of Iran's week, and the comparison to the same week in Israel.

And the Islamic Republic's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad thinks that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth????

But it's not just Iran that drives the train of Islamic terrorism and oppression, Iran's just the loudest voice and primary mover and instigator.

From the pulpits of clerics throughout the Middle East (and the West - including America) comes sermons such as, "Muslims Will Rule America, Britain ... and the Entire World(Slow Load - video with audio); Israel is a Cancer; Jews are a Virus Resembling AIDS; Muslims Will Finish Them Off" (Palestinian Authority TV Sermon, May 13, 2005 - MEMRI) Transcript.

And the Palestinian Authority tells the children to "Ask for Death."

Compare what tiny Israel(Flash movie clip in intro) has been up against in the Middle East - and yet has survived and prospered.

On the eve of Israel's independence, news of the United Nations vote supporting the establishment of the Jewish state caused dancing and celebration in the streets of what was then Palestine. A Jewish soldier named Moshe Dayan was among those who celebrated that night. In his memoirs, he wrote:
We were happy that night, and we danced, and our hearts went out to every nation whose U.N. representative had voted in favor of the resolution. We had heard them utter the magic word 'yes' as we followed their voices over the airwaves from thousands of miles away. We danced -- but we knew that ahead of us lay the battlefield.

Israel has known both the glory of that moment and the burden of defending its achievement every day since then. Even today, enemies bring the battle to Israel, in the form of suicide bombers and Katuysha rockets, and in the vitriol that spews from the media outlets of the Arab world.

But Israel will survive. Despite war and terror, Israel has thrived and prospered. It has defeated the Arab armies that attempted to drive its people into the sea. It has thrived in the most dangerous neighborhood on Earth. It has been recognized by regimes that once swore it enmity. It is America's closest ally in the region and the one defender of the values we hold sacred.

So, as Israel continues to survive and prosper, Arab states tackle the "vital issues" affecting them by promoting terrorism, defending genocide, and launching demagoguery against Israel.

That's dumb, dumb, dumb - and characteristic of a society and culture who's time has long come and long gone, and long over-due for a change, self imposed, or otherwise.

Either way, a change is due, and a change is coming!!!

There may have already been an initial shift in the prevailing winds.
